As the Fellowship breaks apart, a shadow seems to arise in their presence. Someone, or something, keeps following them as Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli track the Uruk Hai who took their friends. Even with his eyesight, Legolas can not tell if the shadow is real or a part of the looming war. Deep in Rohan, a woman questions her heritage, then turns it into her greatest asset. With the companionship of Eomer and the other Rohirrim, she sets out on what she initially thought was an exile until she stumbled upon a group tracking their latest victims. She doesn't want to help them because they are strangers, and she's seen what happened to Rohan. But something in her blood encourages her to act as a guide. At least for the time being. The War of the Ring is finally over, ushered in by the Fourth Age and a battle marked by far too many losses. Long-desired peace settles over Middle-earth, but the wounds of war run deep. Now they may call each other husband and wife, even if Aragorn and Gimli will argue until the end of their days over who was truly responsible for bringing the two lovebirds together. As a married couple, Legolas and Lithil travel together to Ithilien in this part. A land that holds so much promise and occupies a great place in both their hearts. Freed from Sauron's shadow, it is meant to bloom anew. Together with Elven aid from Lórien and Imladris, the Elves of Thranduil's realm attempt to build a new city. In Ithilien, dôr uin en meth, the land of the end, or perhaps of the beginning? But peace has its edges, and the new everyday life brings challenges. Especially when shadows of the past emerge, and peace, as so often, reveals itself to be an illusion.

The first few chapters are rough ngl but it gets better, the best version is on AO3 under the same title and username JRR Tolkien owns his story and characters... obviously LOTR starts chapter 25

This is going to be a Lord of the Rings Fanfic story. The second book in "The Age of the Ring" book series. The Fellowship continues their journey to destroy the Ring, but many twists and turns have happend throughout the way. The whole Fellowship must fight in new ways to try and fight off the evil that is lurking in Mordor. Many have been captured, but others are still lurking around trying to find help. Will Frodo ever find a way to destroy the Ring with the Mouth and the returning Sauron that is now back? And how will the Fellowship help him in the dangerous quest? All credit for names, places, and some quotes goes completely to J.R.R Tolkien and to his amazing books, "The Lord of the Rings." Thank you for being such an amazing guy, Tolkien!

A 'Lord Of The Rings' Fanfiction BOOK TWO - Middle Earth Series Adriel is a young half-elf from Lothlorien. She embarks on yet another journey across Middle-Earth to aid Frodo Baggins in destroying the ring of power. Along the way, new and old foes arise as well as challenges the half-blood girl has never faced. Join her as she fights to keep Sauron's darkness at bay as well as her own witch bloods bad history as she learns about her past and her people as well as the fight to reclaim her mother's homeland. *The first like fifteen chapters were written in first person but I changed the point of view so if you see any weird "I" "Me" My" "Us" or "We" I apologize, its hard editing them all out!* *My chapters are very long - averaging at about 5000ish words* *I added some of my own history (race of witches) into the story as well as twisted some characters that were already pre existing* *I obviously don't own Tolkien's characters* *I'm still in the process of writing and am loosely editing - the entire story is nearly finished though (19/22 chapters are written and will be posted soon!)*

Tauriel's younger sister, Caliel, is as independent as an elf can be in these times, living among dwarves instead of her own people. How does the course of her life change drastically when she joins the Fellowship and helps them on their journey?
