- Make them good looking. People are more willing to like those they are attracted to.
- Give them a pleasant personality. Not all people who do horrible things are huge jerks.
- If that doesn't work, give them a sense of showmanship and pizazz. Villains having fun are fun to watch.
- Give them a tragic past.
- Make them have at leats a few people they truly care about.
