Where to hit in a fight:

Temple and Jaw: good for a knockout punch, but are near the skull and can be dangerous if you miss.

Nose/eyes: messes up the senses and distracts the opponent.

Neck: can mess up breathing talking and the spinal cord.

Inner elbow: can disable the opponent's arms.

Solar plexus: hard to hit but very effective.

Liver: causes dizziness, immediate pain and loss of breath.

Groin: Ouch.

Outer/inner thighs: has pressure points and can buy you enough time to hit a better area.

Knees: throws the opponent off balance and permanently disables them.

Note: strategically the head is the best area to hit but it is also the most difficult. The sharp bones of the skull mean that a missed hit can break or dislocate your fingers. If unsure where to aim, a hit to the torso will probably damage at least one major organ. Lastly, remember they don't need to be unconscious for you to 'win' a fight. Running whilst they're dazed prevents further injury to both of you.

Note: kicks are less effective and make it easier for your opponent to throw you off balance.
