Ch.79 Discussions and Humanity

Mav placed his sword back in it's scabbard and pulled out a canteen of water.

Mav: Alrighty, you got questions, I got answers! So choose them wisely. Also, might I add that since we have this downtime, could you put some clothes on? I love seeing a naked female as much as the next guy but it's really uh...off-putting.

Admin: So chivalrous, very well.

Admin summoned her clothes from before as she descended and approached Mav. Kirito was about to jump in when Mav held his hand out to stop him. Admin was now face-to-face with Mav as she ran a finger along his chest. She began to circling him gliding a hand across him as she did.

Admin: At first, I thought you were perhaps an unregistered unit but that's definitely not the case. That look in your eyes, that expression, and from my reports, how ruthlessly you killed those two nobles. You aren't from here, are you? Are you perhaps, a human from the "outside" world?

Mav: Well Admin, you'd be correct. Or should I call you Quinella?

Quinella: Hahaha! I'm guessing that brat told you my story then?

Mav: For the most part, I didn't and still don't care for your origin story. Still, Admin or Quinella?

Quinella: As much as I try not to ever bring up the pass, I was fond of my name. Call me Quinella.

Quinella summoned a chair before floating in a sitting position.

Quinella: Have a seat.

Mav: Don't mind if I do.

Mav happily sat down crossing his legs and placing his hands on his knee.

Quinella: So what business does an outside human have in my domain?

Mav: Nothing really. I didn't choose to come here. As it stands, my real world body is in bad shape. This machine that I'm using is supposed to help with recovery so I found myself here.

Quinella: I see. So if you didn't come here by choice, what was the reason for you to disrupt my Integrity Knight Order just to get to me?

Mav: I mean, wasn't really my intention...I got a letter from one of the creators of this world. He gave me one instruction that was head to the top of the tower in the Human Empire capital. It was a pre-written message in case something went wrong with my body or the machine. Disrupting the order just happened due to your incompetence while wrtiting the Taboo Index.

The tension was practically choking everyone in the room. No one had a clue what would turn out from this. Everyone had their eyes glued to Mav and Quinella.

Quinella: Very interesting, are you saying my Taboo Index is flawed?

Mav: Obviously it's flawed. It only benefits you and your reign. The people beneath that get caught up in it are the ones that suffer. You've created an Empire where only you prosper. Had the chance to be a benevolent person to everyone but ya went and did it all for that gluttonous desire for power. Your Order of Knights is strong but they can't stand up to an entire army. Sure, they'll take a lot of them down but nowhere near as much as a standard army could. 

Quinella: A pitiful response. That brat is getting more desperate to expel me and you took the bait!

Mav: Whoa! Who said anything about expelling?

Quinella: Hm? Are you saying you're not here to expel me?

Mav: If it came down to it. I'd probably just kill ya. But here we are, trying to avoid conflict. Diplomacy is a strong tool.
