Tears ran down Alice's face as she smiled.

Alice: Even though I can't remember their face or voice....I can feel them....in my mind and....in my heart.

Alice continued quietly weeping as Mav leaned over and gave her a hearty pat on the back.

Mav: There, there little Alice.....

Alice: Honestly....you suck at consoling.

Mav: Not my problem.

Alice let out a chuckle leaning back and looking at me.

Alice: You're so odd. You know that? You're a person I could never get a read on. You acted spiteful towards me and now you're being all friendly.

Mav: I'll take all that as a compliment thank you very much, my little Alice.

Alice: What's with this little Alice business?

Mav: I just felt like calling you that. To me, you're like that overconfident sister.

Alice: That's a weird way of a compliment.

Mav: I'm sorry? Perhaps you would like it better if I said something like, "Oh Miss Alice, if thou could find it in thine heart to let this lowly soul compliment on such divine beauty that not even angels could compare to. Nor could a goddess match your personality that radiates on me like a warm sun!"

Alice: Hahahaha! Please stop! That was terrible!

Alice let out a pure laugh holding her sides as Mav smiled looking at her being herself.

Alice: Ah.....that was nice. I don't think anything's ever made me that laugh that hard before.....

The two sat in silence before Alice spoke again.

Alice: You know, when you said we weren't from the heavens I....always had a feeling like we weren't being told the whole story. Admin's story seemed completely rehearsed and when we question something we're told to just fix it because we're Integrity Knights. Mav....I want to add on to the promise you made me if it's not too selfish.

Mav: Depends on the additions.

Alice: Will you take me to Rulid? Take me to see my family?

Mav: An easy request. I promise little Alice.

Alice: Thank you....

Alice stood up and took deep breath holding her hand close to her chest.

Alice: I've made up my mind. In order to protect this world and those who reside in it, I, Alice Synthesis-Thirty hereby forsake my mission as an Integrity Knight and-gah!?

Mav:? You good?

Alice let out a cry of pain clutching her right eye as Mav immediately recognized this when Eugeo had a bleeding right eye.

Mav: Alice, turn to me. Let me see.

Alice moved her hand as Mav noticed the now bar code red eye. As some words popped up.

Alice: It feels like my eye is on fire.

Mav: System Alert Code: 871.

Alice: Mav....what is this?!

Mav: Must be some kind of security protocol.

Alice: Security Protocol? What?! Mav what aren't you telling me?

Mav sighed knowing he'd have to tell her eventually.

Mav: It's security protocol in your programming. Don't know why Rath has these in place if they're trying to make a military A.I. capable of killing. Listen, if you keep trying to resist you'll burst your eye.
