Ch.84 Before The Storm

I opened my eyes taking in my surroundings. A great palace room with a throne that I was sitting on.

Vassago: That you, bro?

I looked to my left and saw Vassago in dark plate armor.

Gabriel: Sure is.

I stood up and walked towards the window. From there I saw the Dark Territory.

Gabriel: This world....it's virtual but feels... so real.

Vassago: Definitely, it's pretty awesome!

Gabriel: Well, we aren't here to dillydally. I have a plan.

Vassago: Let's hear it.

Gabriel: If Alice is in the Human Empire, it would be unwise for us to try and find her with just the two of us. So, what if we rally the factions here and start a war?

Vassago: Start a war? Oh wait....oh I see, then we can nab her in the chaos!

Gabriel: Exactly.

Vassago: Nice thinking bro! But, how will you convince them?

I shrugged my shoulders.

Gabriel: Guess I'll just have to wing it.

I used my status to summon the factions. Within the hour, they all gathered in the throne room.

Rengil: I am head of the commerce guild, Rengil Gila Scobo.

Lilpilin: Chief of the orcs, Lilpilin!

Ell: Chancellor of the dark mages guild, Dee Eye Ell. My 3,000 mages, as well as my heart and body, all belong to you, Your Majesty.

Gabriel: Mm-hm.

Vixur: I am the Commander of the dark knights brigade, Vixur ul Shasta. Before I offer you my sword, may I ask you a question, Emperor? Now that you've returned to your throne, what is it you seek?

Gabriel: To destroy the Human Empire. As we speak, the great gate crumbles. I have returned to spread my influence far and wide and to take what is rightfully ours. I only have one request and that is the capture the priest and priestess of light. Other than that comrades, as soon as that gate falls, the Human Empire belongs to us. The time has come soldiers. Our time is now!

A silence fell upon the room until Lilpilin shouted and the whole room erupted in cheers. Holy shit, that actually worked. I did notice the commander and his second were not in on the cheering. But, matters not I suppose. The meeting was adjourned and I retired to my room with Vassago.

Vassago: I'm surprised you has that kind of talent bro.

Gabriel: I wouldn't call it talent. I was saying whatever bs came to my head. Felt like I was in some improv class. But, we got them on board so that's a win.

I got up from the sofa and approached the console and got in contact with Critter.

Critter: That you, boss? We just got back to the control room after having you and Vassago dive.

Gabriel: Really? It's the end of our first day here. Even though I knew about the time acceleration, It still feels weird. Good news is that the operation is going smoothly right now. Our soldiers are mobilizing and we'll be assaulting the Human Empire two days from now.

Critter: Nice! Remember, once you have both or one of those A.I.s, get them to the console and execute the eject command and send them into the Main Control Room. Also, a word of advice, especially for that idiot, Vassago.
