Eugeo: Forty-Five!

Eugeo swung the axe into the tree as I stared at the ground. As much as I keep my spry attitude, I can't shake my head around everything that happened. I didn't get much sleep last night with my mind endlessly running about what I'm going to do. I need to get to the central city. There has to be answers there. If not, the dark territory might be a good place to look. But, as it stands, I've been looped into Eugeo's Calling. I need to find a faster way to cut this low-tier god of a tree down.

Eugeo: Alright, we're done for the morning so let's have lunch.

Eugeo pulled another batch of the stale bread.

Maverick: I love hazardous teeth food. I swear I feel like i'm gonna rip my teeth off from this bread.

Eugeo: You would've liked Alice's pies. The crust was so flaky and tender, the creamy filling was plenty, add that with some nice cold milk and it better than anything in the world.

Maverick: I mean, it's a pie so I could only hope so. But I'd rather not talk about that.

Eugeo: Why not?

Maverick: You think I wanna hear about some delicious pie while I eat stone bread?

Eugeo: G-good point....

Maverick: So what was Alice's calling?

Eugeo: She studied sacred arts in the church. She was known as the greatest prodigy ever born in this town. She could already cast many spells at the age of ten!

Maverick: What about Selka? Is she taking over Alice's position in a way?

Eugeo: That's not too far off. Selka is Alice's little sister and she does live in the church to practice sacred arts.

Maverick: Are the kids doing that too?

Eugeo: No...those kids were taken after an epidemic hit our village three years ago and took their parents' lives. That's not all though.... All these strange things have been happening to me lately.....There's also talk of a horde of goblins that appeared far south along the main road. Apparently they've been abducting and attacking people. Which can't be true because an Integrity Knight would've subdued them by now. They have to. All Alice did was touch the land of darkness...and these goblins are much worse. It's already bad enough that these past two to three years, more graves are being made behind the church.

Maverick: Can't the church use Sacred Arts to stop life or anything?

Eugeo: I can't say firsthand but Alice mentioned something about a high-level Sacred Art that could stop life from decreasing. But only high-ranking priests within the Axiom Church can use them.

Maverick: The Axiom Church made the Taboo Index I assume?

Eugeo: Yep those bigwigs in the central city.

Maverick: So what does Sacred Arts power run on? I'm gonna assume when you say high- ranking Sacred Art you mean that it requires more power right?

Eugeo: Yes.

Maverick: I see....hey Eugeo, is there anything more powerful than this Axe?
