My True Feelings (Leafa Valentine's Day)

The following is a non-canon chapter.

A calm morning at the Kirigaya household as Kazuto was quietly sipping some coffee as the door burst open with Sugu as she violently grabbed Kazuto.

Sugu: Quick! What does Mav like?!

Kazuto:......What?

Sugu: What does Mav like?!

Kazuto: Why do you need to know? And why are you gripping me? I'd liked to be released.

Sugu: Sorry.....

After Suguha calmed down she explained the situation to Kazuto. Suguha asked Y/N to hang out with her tomorrow and Suguha wanted to confess her feelings to him. Kazuto was kind of excited since he always wanted his sister to find a good boyfriend who better than his best friend?

Sugu: But, I don't know how to go about it. Hell, I'm nervous that he will even return my feelings. He's so....weird that I can't pick up on any signs or whatnot. I'm scared that I am forever in the friend zone.

Kazuto: I understand that Mav is well.....Mav. But, if there's one thing he can't go around, it's bluntness.

Sugu: What do you mean?

Kazuto: I mean that if you go and tiptoe around the subject instead of cutting to the chase he won't give you your answer. He'll pick up on subtle clues but he won't act on them. So your best bet is to be direct with him and tell him how you feel.

Sugu: Well okay but I uh...I don't know what to say or how I should say it or.....gah! This is hurting my head!

Kazuto: Don't blow a fuse over this. Look Valentine's Day is tomorrow so now's your best chance.

Sugu: Okay, what should I do for the date tomorrow?

Kazuto: Wherever you think he'd like. But he'll probably just go where ever you want him to go.

Sugu: Alright....thanks bro....I really needed that.

Kazuto: Ah, it's what I'm here for.

The next day rolled around and the two spent the whole day together, during the day Sugu studied Y/N. Y/N didn't seem to notice it was Valentine's Day. But Sugu kind of guessed that due to the previous years she's known him. Her heart was racing as she kept racking her brain on how to confess her feelings until she decided there was one thing she could think of.

Sunset was upon the two as Y/N drove Sugu back home. They stopped outside the Kirigaya residence.

Y/N: Huh, looks like Kirito is still hanging with Asuna.

Sugu: Seems so. Thanks for hanging out with me today, Y/N.

Y/N: Anytime.

Sugu took a deep breath as Y/N looked over curiously.

Sugu: Say, can you come inside?

Y/N: I got nothing to do so I'm down.

Sugu led Y/N into her kendo dojo. As Y/N looked around the place.

Y/N: This is a nice setup we got here.

Sugu: I'm glad you like it. Kendo always helps me whenever I need it.

Y/N: What do you mean?

Sugu: You know, when I'm bothered my something, I'll come in here and practice. The quietness of the room gives me a peace of mind and my kendo techniques help boost it.

Sugu slowly walked towards the kendo sticks and armor. She grabbed two kendo sticks and tossed one to Y/N who caught it.

Sugu: Y/N, if it doesn't trouble you, would you duel me?

Y/N stood there and smiled.

Y/N: Certainly.

The two then began putting on the proper attire for kendo until they were both fully dressed. Y/N set a timer on his phone and told Sugu that they were to start at the buzzer. The two took their positions across from each other as timer clocked down. Sugu seizing her opponent up seeing his posture and positioning similar to her. Making her smile faintly.

*Beep*

Y/N charged forward bring his kendo stick down for an overhead as Sugu evaded hit and went for a counter hitting his side as she raised one finger. The two reset their positions and the timer.

*Beep*

Sugu awaited Y/N's attack as he did not come forth so she did so. Sugu came from a diagonal angle but her attack was redirected by Y/N who hit her in the head. Y/N held up one finger. As the two repeated the same as before as the timer went off.

*Beep*

The two charged forth and clashed before breaking off from each other. The two began exchanging attacks but none of them connecting. The two evaded, blocked, and parried each other's attacks. The two stared each other down sweat beginning to drip down their faces from the slight stuffy nature of the kendo armor and the intense battle. The duo both took a deep breath before dashing at each other with Sugu going for a thrusting attack while Y/N went for an overhead. The two struck against each other however one missed and the other connected. Sugu looked ahead seeing her kendo stick beating out Y/N's by an inch. The young man smirked and held his stomach where he was hit before dramatically falling to the ground. Sugu took her armor and gloves off dropping them to the floor and approaching Y/N who only took his gloves off. Sugu crawled on top of him and took off his helmet and armor. Y/N laid there with a smile on his face.

Y/N: You know, you said you use Kendo to clear your head. You've been looking nervous ever since we got here. Is there something you want to tell me?

Sugu: Yes. There is.....

Sugu gazed at the man's face. His soft expression filled her with a sense of warmth as she leaned in and gave him a passionate kiss filled with her feelings towards him. Those ten seconds of bliss was the confidence she needed.

Sugu: I love you, Y/N. You have captured my heart more than I'd like to admit. If you'll have me, I'd love to go out with you.

Y/N smiled and patted her head.

Y/N: Now this is a surprise. I share these same feelings for you.

Y/N sat up so Sugu was on his lap. as he leaned in close.

Y/N: Suguha, I love you.

Y/N initiated the kiss this time wrapping his hands around her back while she placed hers on his shoulders. The deep kiss lasted longer than the first as the two finally parted lips. The two entered the house unbeknownst of the snooping couple.
