9: Saviour Or Tormentor

Start from the beginning

She gasps. "Whaat ?! Abbay ! Shaadi hi nahi ki, to cricket team kahaan se aagayi?!" She hits my arm.

I snorted, trying to hold my laughter in. "Tera koi pata nahi, shaadi kiye baghair hi koi teer maar de." I winked.

"Bakwaas band karo." She keeps punching me while I kept on giggling. Man, how I missed teasing her.

"So, when are you going back to Paki?" I asked.

"Don't you love sending me back." She glared at me. "Idiot. I'm staying here for high school. I've applied for sophomore year at Richard Shane."

"Really ?!! That's great !" No Shehry, that'll suck ! She'll tease the shit out of you if she finds out about Nida.

Daaaamn ! As if 3 idiots weren't enough to bother the eff outta me.

"I know right ?! I'll join day after tomorrow." She grins ear to ear and I give her a faint smile back. Day after tomorrow means she'll be there for the swimming competition.

I suddenly realized something. "Hey wait a minute. Sophomore year? Aren't you supposed to be with me, in freshman year?"

"I would've, but I skipped a grade back in Pakistan hence, the higher class." She smiled.

"Oh........kamini." I narrowed my eyes.

"Beghairat." She replies back with a playful smirk.

"Ulloo ki patthi !" I spat and we both laughed.

We had lunch and then she went to sleep early since she was exhausted after her long trip here.

I took a long relaxing shower at around 1 am and stepped back into my room.

"Yo Shehry. What's up with you man? Like seriously. You've been acting really strange ever since you joined Richard Shane." Hussain asks, sounding really concerned.

I sighed and sat next to him on the bed. "I don't know man."

"Pyaar ho gaya hai na tujhe Nida se?" He puts his arm around my shoulders and says, sounding non-teasing, for once.

"Pata nahi yaar. I'm just really bothered. And confused. I don't even know how I feel myself. I mean one minute I feel all tickly inside when I look at her and then the next minute, I'm perfectly normal." I look down.

He pulls my face up to his. "Kia karoon haaye, kuch kuch hota hai." He winks at me.

"Shut up, Sain." I shove him away and he laughs.

"Just tell her you like her." He says, making it sound so simple, when it's tedious as hell.

"I don't know man. I'll wait and see what time tells." I say.

"Fine, but try not to waste too much time. You might lose a hot and 'surprisingly shy' ameerzaadi like her." He nudged me.

"Meri bachi pe line maare ga kia?" I wink at him, joining in the joke.

"Oyee hoyee. Well, at least you now admit she's your bachi." He chuckles mischeivously and I facepalmed myself.

"Abbay !" I yell and pulled him in a headlock, whamming him down on the bed.

"Mummy jee !" He squeals like a little girl and I laugh.

He pulls me over and jumps onto my poor six packed torso.

"Aah ! Get off fatso !" I yell.

"Ha ! No can do." He sticks out his tongue at me, like a kid.

We wrestle for a few more minutes and then finally go back to bed. And as usual, I couldn't sleep. My mind constantly drew back images of her face and I put my hand to my chest, feeling my heartbeat race up inside me.
