Ch.61 Style

Maverick: Dancing Blade!

Maverick's sword glowed bright blue as he elegantly made a figure-eight motion with his blade  sending a crossing slash right towards Ugachi severing his left arm and lacerating his chest. Ugachi powered through the pain knocking Maverick onto his back.

Ugachi: YOU IMPUDENT LITTLE SHIT! NO MATTER OF WAY I WILL KILL YOU WILL LET ME LIVE DOWN THIS HUMILIATION! I SHALL MAKE YOU FEEL PAIN YOU'VE NEVER FELT BEFORE!

Maverick got back up gripping his sword tightly as Ugachi went for another attack as Maverick rolled out the way and got into a defensive stance before wincing at the pain on his cheek. He felt the warm liquid on his fingers seeing his blood drip down. Maverick waited for Ugachi's attack who jumped to be on the offensive. Maverick, deflected the incoming blow and ducked the follow up before leaping into the air and slicing Ugachi's eye. Ugachi yelled in pain before reaching his arm back and rocketing it towards Maverick. Maverick tried to block it but he was still vulnerable coming down from the jump attack. Letting Ugachi slam his fist into Maverick's sternum as Maverick felt his breath get forcefully ripped out of him as he flew back into an ice crystal formation. Ugachi approached the incapacitated Maverick who struggled to get back up.

Maverick: Seems.... I'm still out of practice....

"HRRRRAAAAAGHHHH!!!!"

With a resounding war cry Eugeo charged towards Ugachi and stabbed his leg and stepped back.

Maverick: Eugie?

Eugeo: I got your back Mav! You can count on me! Always! Just as we promised back when we were kids!

Maverick:?

Maverick was confused at what Eugeo said. Before it hit him.....when he dived into the Underworld, he was friends with Eugeo and Alice. 

Eugeo: You never backed down from anyone! You stood up to the Taboo Index and the Integrity Knights when I stood there helpless! It's time I repay you for what I couldn't do all those years ago!

Maverick: I see...

Eugeo pushed Ugachi back before helping Maverick back up. Maverick quickly pushed Eugeo aside taking out a goblin that was sneaking up on them.

Mav: Got my back, I got yours.

Ugachi: TIME TO DIE!

Eugeo watched as the blade went right for his sternum.

Mav: Crimson Slash!

Mav charged his blade and threw a flaming slash towards Ugachi  scorching his skin and knocking him off-balance. Eugeo  ran up beside Mav as he pointed towards Ugachi's legs. Eugeo nodded as he charged towards Ugachi. Ugachi swung diagonally towards Eugeo as a katana blade stopped the hit. Mav blocked the attack giving Eugeo the necessary time for his attack. Eugeo stabbed Ugachi's legs crippling his abilities exponentially. Eugeo backed off leaving Mav to finish Ugachi off. Mav held his katana with two hands firmly on the hilt; His stance similar to the one Sugu uses for kendo. Ugachi flailed his weapon at Mav who deflected most of the blows until he parried the final one quickly moving in and hitting Ugachi's chest area with a flurry of thrust attacks similar to a rapier like Asuna would do. The attacks opened multiple wounds as blood seeped from Ugachi like a bunch of hole punctures in a bag of water. Mav quickly went on the aggression going for full offense not leaving Ugachi anytime to recuperate. Mav was using a moves that only a certain edge lord would use. Mav back stepped to find his killing blow before jumping onto Ugachi's chest and thrusting his katana into the windpipe of Ugachi before swiping the blade outwards a grotesque but oddly picturesque sight as Mav jumped off Ugachi who fell to his knees trying to hold his throat closed with his one arm. Mav approached Ugachi and sliced his head off. Mav picked the head up and kicked it towards the remaining goblins.
