Khushi

Adi has done so many things to make me happy, he gave importance to all my dreams. He took me by complete surprise when he brought me to the London eye. It was such a beautiful experience.

I looked at my man gratefully as we were lazily lounging in the living room, watching a movie after coming from Lambeth. I had my legs on his lap while he was concentrating on the movie.

I wish I could do something for him too, I wish I could give him a surprise like he always gave me. But what could it be? It was so difficult to choose a gift for a guy who already had everything. My wishlist was too big and he was doing everything to fulfil it while I never made an effort to do something marvellous for him, something which could tell him how special and precious he was for me.

I texted "HELP!!!" in my friends WhatsApp group. My phone buzzed almost immediately and I excused myself.

"Adi?"

"Yeah."

"I will just be back. I am getting a call from my friends." He nodded with a smile. I went to the kitchen and picked up my call putting it on a conference.

"What happened?"
"Is everything okay?"
"Are you pregnant?"

Three voices boomed from the other side at the same time.

"Seriously Preet? Pregnant? Shut up!" I scolded her for speaking nonsense.

"What? I was just imagining." Preet replied casually.

"Well, don't imagine. Your imagination sucks because you have a creepy and guttery brain."

"Whatever. So what was HELP then?" She asked exaggerating the word.

"Yeah Khush, what happened?" Avni and Misha asked with concern.

Thank God, at least these two were sensible. I muttered under my breath before continuing.

"Guys, I need to give Adi a surprise. Since the day we have met, it's always him showering me with these heartwarming surprises. Even I want to do something special for him but I am so confused. I don't know what to do." I whined childishly.

"It's so easy Khush. Just prepare a romantic night for him." Misha suggested in a matter of fact tone.

"Ugh, Misha please don't gross me out here," Avni muttered with irritation.

"What? It is the best surprise she can give. Come on." Misha replied with confidence.

"No. Adi is different. He finds happiness in small gestures. I want something meaningful and extraordinary, something he can cherish forever." I explained.

"How about you prepare dinner for him?" Preet suggested.

"That I have done so many times before. Gosh! He has already raised the bar so much. I don't even know what to gift him." I was seriously getting annoyed at my lacking creativity.

"See, I am just new into a relationship which happens to be a long-distance one. So I don't know much about it." Avni muttered, giving up.

"I am also inexperienced and Misha's ideas are perverted. So try something on your own." Preet said sighing.

"Excuse me? My ideas are not perverted. They are romantic."

"Oh please, they are." They both started arguing with each other.

"Guys, you are no help. Adi proposed to me by singing a song, baked a cake on my birthday, brought me to London to fulfil my dream, kissed me on the top of London eye, all this just for me so that he could make me feel special. Can you beat that? What should I do which makes him feel special?"
