Chapter 83 - North Port

Time: 10:10 AM (Tuesday)

Nagmamadali na umakyat si Kio sa upper deck at napakapit si Sienna sa braso ko nang marinig niya ang sinabi ni Kio. Though his statement is unclear, both of us have a feeling whom he is referring to.

"Kio, what do you mean?" nag-aalalang tanong ni Sienna.

"The Blackburn Vulture Gang is here. They used the exact route that we took. Their armored van is now in the Second Avenue. They will be here within five minutes."

"Paano nangyari yun? Paano nila tayo nahanap?" naiiyak na tanong ni Sienna, pero hinawakan ko lang ang kamay niya.

"Kio, are they headed here in the yacht club directly from the Technopark?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"Yes, Che. As I have said, they are using the exact roads that we used."

"There is only one explanation for this. It only means that they have a resident IT guy like you who can access the security cameras. That's the only reason why they were able tracked us easily. Kaya nila tayo mabilis na nahanap sa The Glaze!"

"Che, we need to go to Aquinas Island. Hindi ko na mahihintay ang confirmation ni Harold. We can dock doon sa likuran na bahagi ng headquarters. The BVG is not stupid enough to follow us to an island infested by military personnel."

Kung ano man ang problema sa Aquinas Island, we will deal with it later. Our top priority is to leave the marina bago pa kami masundan ng Blackburn Vulture Gang.

"Sienna, stay with Kio. We will leave shortly.""

"Herschel, saan ka pupunta? Sasama ako sayo!"

"I will just take care of the anchor and you can find me in the control room later. Don't worry, I will be quick," sabi ko sabay halik sa noo niya.

"Che, are you sure you don't need help? Kaya mo ba mag-isa magpatakbo ng yacht? There are usually two or three crews sa mga malalaking yacht," tanong ni Kio sa akin.

"I have incorporated most of the technologies that my parents developed in this yacht. I don't need any crews. Give our status to JC and Sav.  We will leave as soon as I pull up the anchor," sabi ko sa kanila dalawa.

The control room is located at the lowest deck of the yacht, but it has all the 360 degrees visibility around the yacht. This area contains navigational instruments that I can even control using my laptop or mobile phone.

Nakakapanibago na hindi kami kinokontak ni Harold. Sigurado ako na may problema sa Aquinas Island. Within minutes, I was able to navigate the yacht away from the port. It is on autopilot and its destination is Aquinas Island.

"Where exactly are they?" tanong ko kay Kio pagdating ko sa living room. Kahit si JC at si Sav ay nandoon na din.

"Nasa yacht club na sila. They are checking yachts one by one. Do you think they can see us?"

"Kio, this yacht is using the technology of stealth ship and aircraft. This can elude visual detection and even radar detection. They will have a hard time to detect this yacht even using sonar, infrared and acoustic methods. BVG is no longer our problem. Aquinas Island is not responding, that is a more serious threat," sagot ko sa kanya sabay upo sa tabi ni Sienna.

Sienna hugged me at mukhang nawawalan siya ng lakas sa mga nangyayari. Alam ko na medyo traumatic ang paghabol ng BVG sa amin.

"Che, I tried to call dad and even Stella, they are not answering any of my calls. This is really weird. Kio, do you think nabasa ni Harold ang messages mo?" tanong ni JC kay Kio.

"Yes, I think so. He is online but not responding. I tried to locate him using the GPS on his phone, nasa Aquinas Island siya."

Kahit ang daddy ko, hindi siya sumasagot sa kahit anong tawag ko at nagsisimula na akong mag-alala. Ayoko man pumunta sa Aquinas Island ng walang go signal, but I don't think Kio will just stay here and watch. He will definitely do his best para mapuntahan si Harold.

"Relax, Kio. I will do my best to find Harold and please continue to contact him. No one will get out of this yacht until I was able to confirm that it is safe to go. JC, magpahinga ka muna. Your wound is not fully healed. Sav, ikaw na ang bahala sa kanya. Sienna, ipagluto mo kami ng lunch," sabi ko sa kanya habang hawak ang laptop ko papunta sa kitchen.

"Hanggang ngayon ba naman utusan mo ko?"

I did not answer and I just smiled at her papuntang kitchen. Parang kailan lang, inutusan ko si Sienna na kunin ang pizza na pinadeliver ko.
