Chapter 51 - New Beginning

The same night, Sienna left me. Little did she know, she left me with a broken heart and there is no one to blame but me...

Lumipas ang araw and everything is under control na ng mga military. After ng efficient cleaning operations, there are no more signs of zombies in Aldridge City. Kahit sa ibang lugar, the Z Virus vanished with no traces.

I spent the last few weeks of the semester thinking about the girl who I used to bully. Ang babaeng basura sa paningin ko. Isang kalat na palaging nakakakuha ang atensyon ko. The garbage who made Mr. Perfect's life complicated.

Pagbalik namin sa Redwood High, everything changes. Nagkaroon kami ng barrier sa isa't isa simula nang mawala si Sienna. Si JC at si Sav ay hindi na nag-aaway, but Sav went astray. She does not talk to JC anymore at kahit ako ay iniiwasan niya. Si Kio lang ang palagi niyang kasama.

After ng graduation, Savannah went to Perth. Kasama niya si Sienna at doon sila nag-aral ng kanilang college degree. JC went to the military academy. Gusto niya sundan ang yapak ng kanyang ama. Kio is studying a computer related course and is working part time in Aquinas Island with Harold Greer.

Tulad ng mga magulang ko, I pursue a degree na related sa physics at engineering. I want to join them in their Research and Development team. It was a punishing course and the schedule is too hectic.

"Sav, I received your email. Ang aga aga, bakit gusto mo ko makausap? May problema ba? Is Sienna okay?" tanong ko kay Savannah sa phone.

For almost two years, wala kami communication ni Sienna. I sent her an email almost every day. I even called her several times, but she is decided not to talk to me anymore. The only person na nagbibigay sa akin ng balita about her is Savannah. We are in touch and she's giving me updates about Sienna.

"Che, wala akong problema, pero baka ikaw ang magkaroon ng problema."

"What do you mean, Sav? I don't like your tone. Spill the gory details!"

"Do you remember Randolf Dela Rosa? He's here in Perth. Binisita niya si Sienna kahapon. He is based in Sydney. Just so you know, we are on the same continent."

"Of course, I know that Sydney and Perth are on the same continent! Anong sabi ni Sienna? Damn! Why is she not answering my calls and my fucking emails! Mahigit isang taon na niya ko hindi pinapansin! Kapag nagkaroon talaga ko ng break from school and work, pupuntahan ko yang babaeng yan!" inis na sabi ko kay Sav sa phone.

I feel so desperate dahil tinuldukan na ni Sienna ang kung ano man ang connection namin dalawa. Alam ko na nababasa niya ang mga messages ko, pero hindi siya nagrereply. She is also intentionally rejecting my phone calls. Gumamit na rin ako ng ibang number and once she hears my voice, she will immediately disconnect the call na parang nandidiri na marinig ang boses ko.

"Che, I think Randolf is courting her again. Kung mahal mo talaga ang kaibigan ko, kailangan mong gumawa ng portal para makapag teleport ka from Aldridge City to Perth. Tick tock, Che! Ang alam ko, may date sila mamayang gabi. Tick tock, tick tock!" natatawa na sagot ni Sav.

She knows na mahal ko si Sienna at alam niya na hindi ko kayang umalis sa Aldridge City dahil critical ang first year ng part time job ko sa Aquinas Island. But that same hour, I flew a hundred miles para lang puntahan ang cause ng pagseselos ko, si Randolf Delarosa...

He is in Perth for a three day vacation. I will make it short and kick his ass back to Sydney. Sienna has always been mine and will always be mine. Hindi ako papayag na agawin siya ni Randolf sa akin...

"Che? Anong ginagawa mo dito?" tanong ni Randolf nang binuksan niya ang pinto ng hotel niya.

I already asked Kio and Harold to locate this man in advance. As I expected, mabilis nilang naibigay sa akin ang hotel name at ang mismong room number ni Randolf.

"You know why I am here, Randolf."

"Dahil kay Sienna? You are kidding me right?"

"Do you think I will take an urgent flight just to be here if I am kidding? Randolf, I will make it quick and simple. Leave Sienna alone. She is mine! Do you want me to spell it out loud for you?" galit na sabi ko sa kanya.

I am always a calm person but the idea of Sienna together with Randolf, can easily transform me into a monster. Nawawala ang self control ko dahil sa selos ko. I can't think straight and my judgment can easily be clouded.

"Nagpapatawa ka talaga, Che. Walang boyfriend si Sienna at ang alam ko, hindi ka niya boyfriend. Why are you so possessive of her?"

"Because I fucking love her, that's why!"

"I like her ever since, Che. Alam mo yan, but you still ordered me to leave her."

"And that is the same reason why I am here. Leave Perth as soon as you can and I will make sure that no one will find out about your father's shady gambling deals."

Randolf gasped with what I have said. Hindi niya inaasahan na alam ko ang kalokohan ng daddy niya.

Alam ni Kio at ni Harold na hindi na ako nag-iisip ng maayos when I went to Perth the same time na tumawag si Savannah. It was a spur of the moment decision. I was consumed by anger and jealousy. They know that I will confront Randolf right away. Humanap sila ng kahit anong butas na pwede ko gamitin kay Randolf so he can leave Sienna alone.

The same afternoon, umalis si Randolf sa Perth at bumalik sa Sydney. Nakahinga lang ako ng maluwag when Kio told me that Randolf is already on a plane back to Sydney.

Sienna is just mine, my personal garbage that I want to keep for life...
