I don't own Sidelines by Payton Rae.

"Thanks." I told him.

We talked for a little bit longer. Then the bell rang for homeroom. Ryder walked me half way to my homeroom until that blond girl came up to him.

"Hey I have to go. I will talk to you later." Ryder said walking away with that blond girl. Who does that girl think she is?

"Hey Kitty. Are you okay?" I hear someone said. I turned around to see Sam standing there.

"Yeah. Fine." I said. He looked at me weirdly.

"Sure you are fine." He said sarcastically.

"Really." I said.

"What?" He said.

"Nothing." I said. "I have to go before I'm late to homeroom." I quickly walked away. I walked into the room. Homeroom went by fast. I had a free block my first block. I went to the auditorium. I know I could be left alone there. I just wanted to think. I walked into the auditorium. I started to think about Ryder and that blond girl. Who is she? I don't even have a name. I want to know who she is. I started to hum a song I thought could have how I feel. I start to sing out load.

I remember cheering you on at every football game

Shoutin' number twenty as a running back takes your play

I wait from the bleachers on the thirty yard line

You only look away, don't you see

What it does to me

When the game is called and the crowd goes home

I get my chance with you alone

All you seem to do is look right through me

I've dreamt of you a thousand times

But you don't even bat an eye

Doesn't matter what I do or how I try

I'm always the girl on the sidelines

In the air, on the ground

I feel the spirit all around

I guess you really drove it home again

As I watch you walk away with her in your arms

Like I'm only a friend, can't you see

That should be me, that should be me

When the game is called and the crowd goes home

I get my chance with you alone

All you seem to do is look right through me

I've dreamt of you a thousand times

But you don't even bat an eye

Doesn't matter what I do or how I try

I'm always the girl on the sidelines

Now, pretend that you're just a mistake

As I watch the instant replay

Spinnin' 'round and 'round again in my mind

I've dreamt of you a thousand times

But you don't even bat an eye

Doesn't matter what I do or how I try

I'm always the girl on the sidelines

I'm just another girl on the sidelines

I got done with the song. I heard clapping. I looked right to where it came from. It was Marley, Brittany, Tina, and Sugar.

"Thanks." I said.

"That was amazing." Sugar said.

"Wow. So much emotion." Tina said.

"What was that about?" Brittany asked.

"Just same thing I want to get out there and I thought this was the best way." I said.

"It was very different." Marley said.

"Yeah I know." I said.

"So who was it for?" Tina asked.

"What?" I asked.

"Who is the song about?" Tina asked.

"It is about..."
