Dan and I spend the school day together, me still wondering how one person can be so adorable. From his cute little dimples when he smiles, to how his whole face lights up when I make him laugh, he' perfect. It's not a crush though. We're friends. We hopefully always will be, but I think I'm thinking a bit too far into the future.

We walk out of the school, chatting about something stupid.

"Which way do you walk home?" I ask, and then he points in the direction.

"Same!"

"Cool. I get to annoy you for even longer."

"You don't annoy me."

"Really? Short little pastel boy doesn't annoy big punk?" He asks sarcastically, looking up at me. It's only now that he's pointed it out that I realise our height difference. The majority of the time we've been sat down while together, but there he is, having to tilt his head up. It's adorable. There's another reason why he is.

"Nope. Not at all."

The walk sure isn't quiet. We joke we laugh, we get shouted at by an old couple for being too loud.

"You know, there's a park nearby here, if you, uh, wanted to hang out longer, we could go," I ask him, slightly nervous that he'll shoot me down and think I'm weird for wanting to spend even more time with him, after seeing him at school all day.

"Sure!"
