"Come on Jackson, come to mommy" I cooed at my 1 year old son who is trying take his first steps.

He pulled his little body up by the couch and stretched his arms out towards me.

"Look Ethan, he's gonna do it" I said clapping my hands encouraging him.

"Wait, let me get my phone, need to snapchat this. Don't move Jackson!" He said running up the stairs to grab his phone.

I tut at his behavior, of course he has to snapchat an important milestone for our baby.

"I'm back, come on Jack" Ethan chanted making our curly haired son giggle.

He slowly moved his wobbly legs forward.

"Mariah, look at him go" Ethan said whilst shoving his phone in Jackson's face.

"YAY, you did it" I screeched when he fell into my arms.

"You're such a clever boy, just like your mommy" I said laughing.

"Momma" Jackson babbled, pulling my hair.

Ethan's eyes popped open.

"D..did he just say his first words" Ethan stuttered.

"Momma" Jackson said again, making me and Ethan laugh.

"Looks like we have such a clever little boy" I said, tickling his stomach.
