"This way." Dwalin said. All of us were trudging through the forest, and I couldn't help but feel a little lightheaded. The dwarves seemed to be having a similar reaction.

"Air. I need air."

"My head, it's spinning."

All of a sudden Nori stopped abruptly in front of us. "What's happening?" I groaned.

"Keep moving." Thorin bellowed. "Nori, why have we stopped?"

"The path... it's disappeared!" Nori sputtered. Well now, isn't that convenient?

"What's going on?"

"We've lost the path!"

I glanced at Thorin desperately before addressing the company. "Find it. All of you look. Look for the path!" Mithren swiveled her head back and forth as she tried to determine where we were.

After a while I could see that the forest was effecting us mentally. We all staggered about aimlessly, running into the occasional tree now and then.

"I don't remember this place before. None of it's familiar." Balin muttered.

"It's got to be here."

"What hour is it?" Thorin asked.

"I do not know. I don't even know what day it is." Dwalin replied.

"Is there no end to this accursed place?"

Bilbo absentmindedly plucked a spiderweb, and the sound vibrated across the forest. He attempted to do it again, but I grabbed his arm and glared. "Bilbo, stop... There's something in the forest. I can feel it."

Ori then picked up a tobacco pouch. "Look." He said.

Dori snatched it from him and whispered to himself. "A tobacco pouch. There's dwarves in these woods." I rolled my eyes at their stupidity.

Kyja, they can't help it. Lay off a bit. Mithren chirped.

Last time I checked I wasn't taking orders from you. I retorted.

Bofur then took it from Dori and sighed. "Dwarves from the Blue Mountains, no less. This is exactly the same as mine." He muttered.

I could tell Bilbo was becoming agitated, and I snickered to myself.

"Because it is yours. You understand? We're going round in circles. We are lost." He huffed.

"We're not lost. We keep heading east."

"But which way is east? We've lost the sun."

Gandalf, why did you have to leave us? I swear, if this forest doesn't cause me to become mentally unstable then the dwarves will!

The company began bickering to themselves, and Bilbo tapped me on the shoulder. I glanced back at him in surprise. He pointed towards the sky and murmured something into my ear.

"The sun. We have to find the sun. Up there. We need to-"

Suddenly everyone began to fight, and Thorin cocked his head to the side curiously. "What? What's that?" He asked himself.

I furrowed my eyebrows as I heard a few whispers reverberate around the place. What on earth is that? Unless it's... no, it cannot be.

"Enough! Quiet! All of you! We're being watched." Thorin roared. Rolling my eyes, I nodded my head at Bilbo before climbing one of the nearby trees.

As I made my way up, I couldn't help but notice the large amount of spiderwebs encompassing the forest. However, once my head burst through the layer of copper-colored leaves, I exhaled in pure amazement.
