Ch.17 True monster

After the party was over, Crystal went up to her room and sat on her bay window as she looked at a snowflake locket while still in her birthday dress. Just then there was a knock as Jackson opened the door.

"Hey" he smiled.

"Hey" she smiled back.

"Mind if I join you?"

"Come on in."

So he walked in and joined her at the bay window.

"What are you looking at?" he asked.

"Just the snowflake locket Noelle gave me" she said "I'm wondering what I should put in it."

"Why not a picture of your family?" he suggested.

"Well I'm planning on using that on one side, but on the other side I don't know."

"Maybe you'll find something out soon."

"Yeah" she agreed as she put the locket down.

"So did you have fun at your party?"

"I did" she smiled "And thanks again for the necklace, I will truly cherish it."

"No problem" he smiled "Hey uh, can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

"Well uh-" he said as he tried to hide his nervousness "I've been meaning to ask you this, and uh, I was wondering if maybe you would like to, go on a date with me?"

"Really?" she said surprised.

"Noelle suggested that I should ask you today since it's your birthday, and I felt that now was the time to ask."

"So Noelle knows about this?"

"Pretty much, so uh, what do you say?"

Crystal gave a smile as she felt her heart flutter "I would love to go on a date with you."

"Woo hoo!" a voice suddenly exclaimed.

"Noelle!" Crystal called annoyed.

At that point Noelle opened the door with a guilty smile.

"Sorry" she said "I couldn't help myself."

"Go away" Crystal ordered as Noelle went away.

Crystal then turned back to Jackson.

"Well that was something" she smirked as he gave a chuckle.

"So you'll really go on a date with me?" he asked.

"Of course" she smiled "When is it?"

"How about tomorrow afternoon?"

"What are we doing?"
