Chapter 49

Auroras PoV

Luke came storming over and grabbed my arm. He seemed aggressive and started to drag me out of the church. I didn't react much. I wasn't myself. My true self died and now it was just a conscious shell of a girl left.

Yet Luke telling me his story, made me wonder. He was from a broken and distorted family. They killed the real Luke way before he could remember and left an empty shell with no emotion.

He does all this to bring him some joy and pleasure in this shit twisted world he lives in. Helping him deal with the scars from his past

He's a broken boy who gets by, by braking others.

The best thing for him is to just shatter him. End this for him. End him.

So many others were like him but he has something different. He has religion. He sees himself as gods mistake yet it's clear he's still on gods side.

He just thinks God fucked up and that's why he's like this. He thinks he was created like this, maybe he was, his mother told him so. But what if he wasn't God mistake. What if he was a angel. A angel who just fell and crashed into hell, and the devil raised him.

It's obvious when he was a lot younger he was scared of his father. He would hide and have his brother to protect him. But as time grew on he must have tricked himself into thinking he's okay with this, he's okay with this becuase it's the only way he can cope with it. The lie took over and he believed it was true. He was only a child, he couldn't have known better and had no quarks an expect from a brother who tried to act strong, get cut his demons out, as a child

I knew deep down, Luke wasn't born the devil. He was an angel, who got burned.

I feel like that applied for Luke

But he got burned. His scars are never going to heal, not fully. He will still have a deformed inner shell.

And that's why I need to kill him.

Send him back to his creator to fix him.

I understood him more but the goal WAs the same.

We walked back to the barn and the night seemed a lot colder. Luke was quiet and acting more aggressive in his walk

He carried my back up the ladder and we stood where we were sat before. Everyone seemed drunk and more blood had been shed

"Luke" Dylan called with a slight slur as he came over "you took your time" Dylan said and placed his hand on lukes shoulder

"Yeah, she's not doing well so I'm taking her home, I'm get coming to say bye to jai" Luke called. Dylan nodded and waved jai over. Jai came over with a wobbly walk

"Brother, turns out you can't melt an eye-" Luke cut jai off

"I'm leaving, I'm going back to auroras apartment, I'll drop by soon" Luke said and gave jai a quick bro hug

Lukes pov

I needed to get her away from the world and from other men. I can't risk anyone taking her from me. The pain would bring back everything I trapped out.

Auroras PoV

Luke began to walk out and grabbed me arm. Jai came up to me and whispered in my ear

"You'll see the signs it's true, but you know what what you will have to do, I won't tell for his sake" he then chuckled alittle "it rhymed" his drunken laugh caused me to think that he was drunk and saying random shit. But I couldn't help but link it to what's he's been saying.

I'll see the signs, it's true and I know what I have to do, he won't tell for someone's sake.

What. Was he saying that I was going to kill Luke, he knows it's the only way to save him and he won't tell anyone.

But Jai's messed up too. He wouldn't tell me to the kill his own brother and how would he know about my plan.

What had that to do with anything. Who was the boy? Was it Luke? But now I have analysed It more I didn't see how it could be him. And poor girl? What that me or was another girl involved in this? I mean that would explain why he said another.

But what does death before light mean. Was it a metaphor or poem or riddle.

I didn't know, maybe it was nonsense jai said since he wasn't fully there in the head. I mean it's apparent jai is now out of the scene for a while so I guess i don't have to worry about him much longer.
