Chaapter 44

Aurora PoV

The day went slow and painful. I was mostly stuck in the kitchen, the inside of my eyes watering from the sickly sent. My stomach full of the protein and my throat burning from trying to keep it down. Luke was taking forever to sort out his "gift" for Dylan and jai had helped. More of Asa has gone and I just faced the floor. My mind racing with thought. What jai meant. What tonight would be like. If my life was worth this suffering.

Soon Luke and jai seemed consent with the jar. Night had fallen and we all knew what time it was

"We should head to Dylan's now" Luke said. I took a deep breath and stood up. Jai took hold of the jar and Luke took hold of me. I winced in my lower pain and tried to walk as normal as I could. Luke went to the fridge and pulled out another protein shake and straw before leaving the house.

We got to the car and jai sat in the drivers seat. Luke sat in the back with me. I thought he was going to torment me but instead he was he held the drink with a straw on out for me

"Drink, you need this" he said

Lukes PoV

She was losing muscle mass and also vital proteins and vitamins and such, she was weak and empty of food, if I didn't give her correct food she would die and I would feel that horrific pain I felt in my dream. I watched as she began to take sips. I was just thankful she wasn't resisting and just hoping she wouldn't vomit it back up

Auroras PoV

I had drinker about 1/4 of the drink before jai pulled up, we were at a barn, neglected and in the middle of no where. I began to shake and wanted to vomit. Maddie. I didn't know if I could do this.

We climbed out and Luke had a tight grip on my arm.

We walked inside and inside was hey and many tools of torture and blood stains and what appeared to be a half a cow. Luke noticed I was going to throw up and he jolted my head back.

"Swollow it" he spat and I gulped trying to get the acid to go back down.

It went down and Luke let me go as soon as Dylan came into sight from one of the above sections, where the chatting of people could be herd.

"Greetings" he called down. Jai held up the bag of alcohol and the jar

"We bring goods" jai called up. Dylan made a "oooo" sound before waving us up

"Go up the ladder" he said and pointed to a wooden unstable looking ladder. Luke nodded and we walked over. Jai started to go up first, as I watched him go up, each creek in the wood he was making made my heart beat faster and faster, knowing maddie was up there.

I felt Luke swing me over his shoulder. I took a tight grip of his shirt as he carried me up. I closed my eyes tight as the view I had made me feel sick and scared

We finally got to the top and I knew I was going to have to see what he did to her

And I wasn't sure my sanity was going to allow me to hansel it.
