"Yeah man 11 o'clock of course I remember. Look I'm in the gym I'll call you once I'm done. Let me know if you need anything." I said hanging up. After that I was too excited to work out. "We find out tomorrow. Is that the reason all of ya'll called?" I asked.
"Nah, I haven't spoke to anybody today, look you should probably call them and see what they want, and I better be the first one to find out what ya'll are having." Tion said hanging up. I decided to call Tiana next because I knew she would get straight to the point.
"Look before you even start talking shyt I was just calling to let you know I got my niece a bunch of cute dresses." Tiana said.
"Okay give them to Dalisa and Mireya." I said.
"They already got their babies some stuff, so look I'll call you later, give my niece a kiss for me." Tiana said. I was really getting sick of everyone thinking it's a girl that was the only thing Tiana and Alana agreed on. But it could be a boy. I called Dallas next.
"What's up bro?" I asked.
"Seven look I made my decision I'm entering the draft next year. I thought you should be the first to know." Dallas said. I started smiling.
"You know Tion is too right." I asked.
"Really? Fuck....." Dallas said hanging up. After talking to Dalisa and finding that they were naming their daughter after my mom, I called Zaire and he told me that he was coming up here to visit, I called Zakiya last.
"Seven I just needed to let you know that daddy wants to meet with all of us. He said he has something important to tell us." Zakiya said.
"Aight when was this supposed to happen?" I asked.
"I don't know yet but he said it's important......... ZACH I mean ZYN, Seven let me go before I kill your nephews. Love you." She said hanging up. I laughed and laid back in my bed and fell asleep.
The next day I got up and went to class. I swear it seemed like time was moving at a slow as pace because every time I looked at the clock it was the exact same time. I was really geeked to find out what Alana was having. Finally class let out at a quarter til 11 and I practically had to speed to make it there on time. I pulled up and Alana was standing outside phone in hand about to call me.
"I'm here, don't be mad class ran a little late." I said giving her a hug.
"Whatever let's just go." She said walking inside. I brushed off her attitude and walked in with her. After waiting we went into a room and they got everything set up. I sat next to Alana as smiled as they put the gel on her stomach. After a few minutes the baby popped on the screen and I couldn't help but smiled, as the doctor pointed out the head, arms, legs and then......
"Aye what's that?" I asked pointing at the screen.
"That would be the penis." He said I looked at Alana grinning ear to ear.
"So you're telling me that's a boy?" I asked.
"BOOOOOOOO." Alana said pissed. "I wanted a girl."
"Yes, and from the looks of it a perfectly healthy baby boy." He said. Alana rolled her eyes and I couldn't help but keep smiling. "Ms. Brooks you're blood pressure is really high. Have you been feeling alright?" The doctor asked.
"Yes I mean besides the headaches I've pretty much been perfectly healthy." Alana said.
"Okay well I want you to do a follow up with me in a week." He said cleaning the gel, he shook both our hands and walked out.
"You can wipe that stupid ass grin off your face. I bought all these girl clothes for nothing." Alana said pissed but I couldn't stop smiling.
"Don't be mad, you can give them to Dalisa and Tion. Just happy he's healthy and everything." I said pulling out my phone to call Tion but halfway through I stopped. I knew in my heart I should call Dallas first he's been the one that's been there this whole time. I called Dallas and waited.
"What's up lil bro." Dallas whispered. So I figured he was in class.
"I was just calling to tell you it's a boy." I said still smiling. After Dallas told me he'd call me later. I took Alana home and went back to school still smiling from ear to ear.
