I've seen Connor around school, but I never really talked to him. One day I was walking down the street, when I heard screaming coming from one of the houses. I didn't know how to react, whether I should leave or stay. I didn't fully react until I heard the front door open. It was then I realized I was staring at the house, causing me and Connor to make eye contact. I saw his face, and noticed he had a black eye. He gave me a small smile and I returned it before walking away. I got home and I couldn't help but feel sorry and worried for him. Even though I don't talk to him, I felt like I needed to do something to help, but I didn't know what. So I decided to fall asleep and maybe talk to him the next day at school.

I haven't seen Connor all day. It was now lunch so I went to my locker to grab my lunch.
"Dana." I jumped startled at the sound of my name because I thought I was alone. I turned around to see Connor walking towards me, I quickly closed my locker to face him.
"Um, hey, Connor,"
"Yeah. Uh, what you saw or heard last night, don't tell anyone. People think I accidentally hit my eye on the corner of my drawer when I fell." He said putting air quotes when he said fell.
"Yeah sure. It's not my business to tell anyway." I say with a small laugh.
"Thanks. I appreciate that." Was the last thing he said before walking away.

I haven't talked to Connor since then, and that was two weeks ago. I have, although, noticed that he's been staring at me quite a bit, and I wasn't sure if I liked it or if I was creeped out by it. None the less, I didn't let it get to me and went on with my day. When the last bell rang, I hurried to my locker and put all my stuff away.
"Dana!" I heard someone shout. My surprise it was none other than Connor.
"Um. Hey Connor."
"Hey, I was wondering if maybe you'd like to hang out someday?"
I was in complete shock since I didn't think he would ever talk to me since the day he asked me to keep his secret. I had to admit that I wanted to get to know him, and I did find him attractive so I agreed. "Yeah sure." You smiled.
"Great," He said with a smile spread across his face. "How about tomorrow night? We can go watch a movie and grab some dinner. I'll pay."
"Yeah sure, sounds good, but you don't have to pay." I say.
"Yes I do, I asked you to come, therefore; I am paying."
I sighed but just nodded. "Okay."
"See you tomorrow then."
"Tomorrow it is."

Connor and I came out of the theater and had just watched Grown Ups 2. We were talking about the movie, our favorite part, favorite actor, etc.
"Where do you want to eat?"
We started walking around the plaza looking for a restaurant to eat at.
"Umm. How about Panda Express?" I say.
"Panda it is." He said with a smile. As we walked to the place, which was about five minutes walking, I felt Connor's hand brush against mine, I couldn't help but blush a crimson red. I felt my heart fall to my stomach when he began to intertwine his fingers with mine. I looked at him, and he looked down at me with a smile, which I gladly returned.

After dinner, I felt like I've known Connor for years! I told him everything there was to know about me, and he told me most of his. He told me most of his life story, although he left out the explanation for what happened that night I was outside his house.
We both were in his car, he was driving me home. The curiosity for what happened that night got the best of me and I couldn't help but ask him about it. "Connor?"
"Yes Dana?"
"I'm sorry for asking, but do your parents," I paused. "Do they hit you?"
He sighed and stayed quiet for a while, and before I began to apologize he responded.
"Yeah," he whispered. "But I'm so used to it, it doesn't bother me anymore. It started when my mom passed away," he told me.
"Connor, I don't have to know."
"No, its fine," he said. "My dad gets frustrated a lot, and he gets depressed. He's not a bad guy, I just feel like he blames me for it. I don't think he realizes it hurts me too. I don't get mad though, I just go to Skye's house, and I let him calm down."
"Oh." Was the only thing I managed to say back to him.
"It's okay sweetheart, you didn't know." He said.

I arrived at my house and he walked me out to my front door. "I had an amazing time with you Dana. We should do this again sometime."
"We definitely should." I smiled.
"Goodnight Dana." He whispered before placing a kiss on my cheek.
"Goodnight."

After the first date, we became inseparable. He would come over to my house a lot, to avoid getting beat by his dad, and it's been two months since our first date, and now we're going on our fifth. He hasn't asked me out yet, but I'm positive he likes me. I know for a fact our feelings are mutual, and I'm anxious for him to ask me. The only move he's made with me is holding my hand in public, all the time, wherever we go.
I looked at the clock and it was barely five. We decided to go ice skating since it was winter time, so I tried my best to search for a cute, yet warm, outfit. Because I couldn't make up my mind on what to wear, I started doing my hair and make up. By the time I checked the it again, it was already six, so that meant Connor would be here in half an hour. I quickly scanned my closet and came up with this outfit.
I heard a knock at the front door, and I hurried towards it. No matter how many dates we went on, I knew I would always feel anxious when he would come pick me up.
"Hey." I said when I saw him standing there with pink roses.
"Hey beautiful," he said handing me the roses.
I smiled at him and took them. "Let me go put these in water and we can head out okay?"
He nodded and I quickly put them in water and headed out.

We were holding hands, skating, and just goofing around.
"Dana? Can we go sit down?"
"Why? Are you tired already?" I teased.
"That, and I just want to sit."
I chuckled and followed him to a table after taking my skates off.
"Are you hungry?" He asked.
"Not really," I said.
"Okay, then lets go take a walk." He held his hand out for me, I took it, my cheeks flushing a light shade of pink.
"You know, I never thought I'd actually ever go on a date with you." He said.
"Oh. Umm, and why is that?" I responded kind of hurt.
"Because, I'd never would've thought a girl like you would actually like a punk ass kid like me. I mean, I get abused, I get in trouble for stupid shit, and you're the complete opposite. You're the girl I would consider to be a good girl." He said.
"Yeah, but you're more than that Connor. You're one of the sweetest guys I've met. You're caring, and brave, and you're just amazing. No matter what you do or don't do." I told him.
"Thanks, but you're way more perfect. You're absolutely perfect. If I had to sit here and pick at your flaws, it would be impossible because you don't have one flaw," he said. He stopped walking and took both of my hands in his. "I want you Dana. I want you so bad. I want to hold you, and hug you, and treat you right," he said as he began to lower his lips onto mine. "And kiss you," he whispered before closing the gap between us. He kissed me with so much passion, my heart felt like it melted down to my stomach. I wrapped my arms around his neck, and he place his hands on my waist, pulling you closer to him. I've been waiting for this moment for so long, I didn't want to leave his arms. It was just as perfect as I thought it be.
When he finally pulled away, I couldn't help but chuckle. "Dana, please, please be mine?" He whispered as he connected our lips once more.
I pulled away and whispered, "Of course."
He smiled and hugged me, sweeping me off my feet and spinning me. "I love you," he whispered. "I love you too,"
