What if the most hurtful event you had was caused by someone you trusted the most?

Never knew that someone was a traitor, huh?

Everything became a blur.

After she went inside the room and emphasized the word, "boyfriend", C/N seems to be in a daze all of the sudden. I could clearly note that he was paying attention to everything she has to say.

I stood there, my eyes looking at how he acted. I knew that there were some changes after a patient suffers amnesia. But no one told me that it would be like this.

His movements told me everything. It just hurts to see how much he had changed when he had amnesia. His gaze was fixated on her and I could see the winning glance that E/X/N gave me when she saw how C/N was glued to the spot - probably looking at her like a lovesick puppy.

And who was I to even stop him?
Oh right, I was the forgotten one.

I could see how his eyes wandered up and down at her in curiosity; how his hands twitch and body stiffens from her touch; and how much he listens to every word she had spoken towards him.

To be blunt, it looked as if he was still in love with her.

And maybe, that's the actual truth.

Taking two steps forward, I tried to call him and at least try to gain back his attention. But to no avail, he was still staring at her - admiring how she looks and how she became his girlfriend.

She was pretty, sure.

Her personality doesn't seem the same though.

Knowing that I couldn't get him back, I looked down and tried to think how much unfair it is for me to experience this. Have I done something wrong in my life to deserve this? I've always been with him through ups and downs.

"Hey," a sudden voice called out to me as I blinked and looked back. My (e/c) orbs then stopped at E/X/N, who was smirking at me while her eyes were filled with mischief. Her arms were crossed and her hair swayed side to side before stopping right behind her back.

Oh, how I really wanted to wipe that smirk off her face.

"Are you going to leave soon? My boyfriend and I still have something to discuss with each other. You being in this room is a bit bothersome, don't you think so?" She couldn't help but look at me from top to bottom before rolling her eyes.

Currently, I gave her a glare before sighing. I knew as much as she does that C/N still doesn't know who I am to him. And since I was really pissed off at the moment, I fired back at her.

"Pretending to be his current girlfriend is a bit too bothersome as well, don't you think so?" I asked her as she scoffed at my remark. Poor C/N, he was just watching us both with confusion.

"Oh please spare me with your stupidity. You're just jealous that you got rejected and was friend zone because he loved me over you," she told me as I raised an eyebrow.

Did she just —

How dare she changed the story.

Approaching her at a fast pace, I slapped her with some force and watched her stumble back from the hit. C/N almost jumped out of the bed from the sudden echo of the slap that I gave his ex.

"Just because I'm being silent over here doesn't mean you can change the whole story," I shouted back before pushing her entirely until she fell over near the table, hitting her head.

It broke my heart how C/N called out her name instead of mine. He was much worried over his ex that he didn't even know that I was standing here, tears dropping from my cheeks. I couldn't help but take in the scenario.

"If you're just here to cause trouble, leave," I heard C/N's voice telling me. Once he looked at me with hatred in his eyes, there I knew that I was no longer a part of his memory. He wasn't the C/N I used to love anymore.

And it broke me.

I was the girlfriend.

But she became much more important.

"C/N, she's lying. I'm your girlfriend," I tried to make him remember once again but all I got was him shaking his head as if I was just a mere stranger. "Why won't you believe me?"

"You're not my girlfriend. I've friend-zoned you." No, that's not true.

It was her whom you rejected.

"Listen to me, C/N—" Instead of letting me speak, I could hear my heart shattering once he pointed at the door. He didn't even dare to look at me. He only looked at E/X/N, who was still sitting on the floor — trying to look pitiful.

"Please, leave. You've already hurt my girlfriend."

He said it again. That damn word.

I couldn't help but let my legs walk me back outside, closing the door behind me and letting myself slid off the wall. My hands tried to wipe all the tears that I had in store.

There were only two options available for me now.

To make him remember.

Or

To start over again.

But the first option seems impossible for me. She was there, his ex was there with him. There would be no way that I could get him back now. He's probably thinking that I'm a monster now.

I wanted to go back so badly.

From how it actually happened.

Then, maybe. Just maybe.

Our love story would not have ended this way.

Not wanting to cause more pain in my heart, I tried to stand up but I almost fell back down. Luckily, someone caught my arm and pulled me back up. I didn't even dare look at the person who did. I just thanked them and walked towards where the elevator was.

Pushing the button, I waited for the elevator to open. Once it did, I went inside and turned.

But the person who was in front of me was what shocked me the most.

It was C/N's twin, looking at me with sad eyes.

Before the doors even closed, he mumbled the word, 'sorry', before he entered the room.
