38. I would do anything for those tiny, small things

I smile as I wake up on Sky. It feels like years since I did that. Still, she is sleeping as I watch her. Closed eyes and breathing lightly. Her stomach moves up and down under me. I cup her cheeks and kiss her lips even though she is sleeping. She holds me tightly as I was on my way to move off her.

"Sky..." I laugh as she attack my cheek with her lips.

"I, love, you, so, much." She says between each of her kisses.

"Good morning, honey." I grin to her and she kisses my forehead.

"You are in a good mood today." I tell and she kisses me one more time.

"Yes, because you make me happy, Hunter." She smile and I bite my inner cheeks.

"Don't look at me like that." She pout and it makes me laugh.

"Okay," I smile and she kisses my forehead again.

"You make me happy." I tell her as well, but she looks at me worried.

"Are you sure, Hunter?" She asks as she brushes her fingers lightly on my cheeks.

"Because you do not seem happy."

"I'm happy." I make her sure of, but she do not smile. Don't even look at me with her brown eyes.

"Then why do you act so scared around me?" She asks and swallow hard.

"I-I am not scared." I tell her and she closes her eyes as she sigh.

"You don't trust me, Hunter and it's painful to know."

"I trust..."
"No, you don't, because you don't let me touch you or see you." She says hurt, which makes me move off her and stand up.

"You know what, I am not going to argue, because we are going to my aunt Jenn for Christmas in a week and I don't want to be angry with you." She says as she sits up, and I look at her confused.

"We are going to your aunt?" I ask, itching my neck.

"Did you forget?" She wonder.

"You didn't tell me. I thought we were going to be here." I say and sigh annoyed.

"I told you weeks ago, Hunter." She says as she rubs her forehead.

"It's okay," I smile, like she said I don't want to argue either.

"I will pack some of the kids' clothes and toys." I tell her and she nods as she watches the floor thoughtfully. This is not going so well. I cup her cheeks and kiss her forehead.

"I don't mean to make you angry," I put my lips on her skin again.

"I love you, but I know that is not good enough. I know what you want, and I am going to find a way to give it you..."
"Hunt..."

"No, I will find a way." I promise her with my whole heart. I don't want it to be this way, that Skylar has been always sad and it's my fault. Everything is my fault. I am the reason for losing all of them and that is something I can't accept.

I want to hear the sound of Ethan and Nathan yells out in the yard as they play soccer. I wish to have Jace grabbing my hair every day, no matter how annoying it can be, but I love it. I want to listen to my little and only girl babbling about something that I have no idea what she is talking about. And of course, I can't forget my lovely wife. Who, has the most amazing smile and those interesting eyes. I even miss her yelling, goddammit Hunter! I would do anything for those tiny, small things, because they matter the most to me. I love those things and I want it all, just the way it was.
