don't believe a word he says
we know you're always listening
close your mind to her sick thoughts
your tears surely glistening
lies will spread like wildfire
typical high school cliché
the rumors about you, very cruel
cause you a great dismay
if only you hadn't let the urge win
to eavesdrop on your peers
the falseness wouldn't have sprung up
and corrected all your fears
