"You can do it, promise!" I beamed at Danny.

"Yeah, if he drives like he hunts we're all goners- but he can do this..." Owen jibbed in amusement. Danny let out a frustrated sigh, then without turning his head glared towards the back seat of the station wagon. I missed this car so much, and I had the brilliant idea of teaching Danny how to drive in the same car I had learned to drive in.

"Don't mind him babe, he's an a**!" I chuckled as I touched his shoulder. He perked up.

"You've never called me that." He smirked.

"Come on lover boy I'm starving!" Frea whined from the back seat as she sunk further into it.

"Just put your foot on the brake and put it into reverse." I said. He nodded and did it with little problems. "Now ease your foot off of the brake- barely press on the gas- and turn the wheel to the left just a little, then brake and then put it into drive..." I instructed as he did so.

"Look over your shoulder!" Owen said quickly.

"Oh yeah, always check over your shoulder and in your mirrors." I said. He nodded as he looked over his shoulder and followed through. "Now just turn and move forward, and don't press too hard on the pedal, it doesn't take much to move forward." I said as he started to creep down the driveway.

"Well a little more than that!" Owen teased. Danny glared at him.

"Eyes up front." Frea said quickly and Danny gripped the wheel nervously with a nod as he went down our long driveway.

"Okay, you're actually pretty good at this." Owen admitted as we neared the end of the road without fail.

"Don't forget your blinkers and always come to a full stop." I said as we neared the stop sign before getting to the main road. "He's really good at this!" I stuck my tongue out at my brother and he gave me a snarky joking look. We continued down the roads to town, and with only a few lead foot moments we got to town with ease. "You're a natural Danny!" I cheered as we parked in a decently open lot for one of the shops on Main Street.

"You really are!" Frea agreed, patting him on the shoulder.

"Thanks." Danny blushed at our positive reactions as he handed me the car keys back.

"Now let's go, I'm starving!" Frea said, hoping out of the back seat. I hadn't realised Danny had gotten out of the car, until the door beside me opened, and he beamed smugly as I stood up out of the car.

"Such a gentleman!" I smiled and he laced his fingers with mine, shrugged, and kissed my forehead as we followed behind Owen and Frea, standing close in the cold overcast weather.

It felt odd, I can't lie, the way we walked so casually down the street. The last time I walked these streets was years ago, holdings someone else's hand, while I tried to forget about Danny. Now he was the only one on my mind, now I couldn't help but occasionally stare up at him in admiration. He walked with a sense of pride in his step, he always seemed to, but it always intensified when I stood beside him. He still had his hair trimmed up, though it grew fast and he had shaved his face... he looked so good I couldn't help but stare. Even without his scruff his jawline had matured and was strong. His green eyes danced every time the clouds would part enough for the sun to hit them. In his faux leather hoodie he looked rugged, but showed he wasn't even trying to be as attractive as he was.

"You're so handsome." I blurted out, and then looked away shyly. Owen laughed at my dismay as he looked back at us. I swear I felt like a teenager all over again.

"And you're beautiful love." Danny whispered after leaning down close to my ear. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder and kissed my forehead.

"Let's eat here!" Frea jumped excitedly as she pulled on Owen's arm, who stayed anchored to his spot.
