Chapter 48: If You

"I can't believe he just left us here and expects us to write a song! A great one! Is he insane?!" -Seungri was ranting while the others were silent. Neither of them felt very inspired and most of them hated eachother. The president said that they need to make a song togheter and perform it. Based on that performance, he will choose the best one and give him a chance to become a star

"Like what does he think?! That we're magically be a great team, yet we're battleing eachother?"

"Shut up! Maybe we could have come up with something if you didn't spend the last 30 minutes bitching!" -Top yelled at Seungri and he sat down. No one said a thing. It seemed like they all were thinking

"I have an idea." -Top suddenly said as they all turned around to him

"What is it?" -GD asked, not sounding very entusiastic

"We freestyle." -He said and the others looked at him with confused expressions on their faces

"Wha...?" -Daesung asked

"We just rap... or sing something from the top of our heads and try to make something of it." -Top said as everyone sighed or chuckled. Everyone expcept for GD

"Wait a minute... That's actually not a bad idea." -GD said as everyone looked at him

"Does anyone play an instrument?" -He asked

"I play piano." -Tayeang said

"I... I play guitar." -Seungri said and GD smiled

"Well what are you both waiting for? Play something!" -Daesung said

Taeyang sat behind the piano and didn't really know what to play. Seungri took the guitar and tuned it for a second. He wanted to play something, but wasn't really sure

"Just play the first melody that pops up." -Daesung said as Seungri took a deep breath. He played 5 different melodies, until:

"That's it! That's the one!" -Top suddenly said when Seungri gently picked the guitar strings. Everyone went silent and then Top sang:

"So now you're leaving my side
And I can't do a thing to make you stay
And love is saying goodbye
And like a fool I blankly stand as you walk away." -Everyone was surprised to hear his deep voice sound so emotional and gentle.

"I'm watching her walk away, she's far away from here
First she becomes a dot, and then she disappears
Will this go away as time will pass me by?

Remember me..." -GD joined in

Can we try this thing again one day?
Can we try again if it's not too late?

If you're struggling like I am

Can we start all over again?" -GD sang the chorus as Taeyang tried to follow the melody with the piano. Top then started bumping his fist on the table giving the song a rythm . Daesung took a deep breath and sang with passion:

"Doesn't this hurt you at all?
You don't feel the pain of loneliness?
I guess you're glad that we're done
But it's hard for me to just move on, I can't forget!"
