“Kacchan!” Izuku called out cheerfully as she padded into the living room, the curtains drawn as always, making the room dim. It was still well lit, but Kacchan detested the, quote, “shitty overhead lights” of her apartment, and so her place was mostly illuminated by fairy lights. It was very cozy, and easier on Kacchan’s eyes, so she didn’t mind.

“What’s up babe?” he asked, not looking up from his book. He never was too fond of electronics, the lights hurt his sensitive eyes, but he did have the table side lamp on. Fairy lights were pretty and all, but they usually weren’t strong enough to read in.

“It’s supposed to be overcast all day tomorrow!” she beamed wrapping her arms around his neck, her chest resting on his head. “We haven’t gone out in a while, we should do something!”

“Are you sure it’s gonna be overcast, all day?” he asked worriedly, looking back at her, his red eyes almost glowing in the dim room.

“Mmhm!” she nodded. “So, can we go?”

“Sure baby,” he nodded with a smile as he went back to his book.

“Yay!” she cheered as she came around the side of the couch and sat next to him, cuddling into his side. Even though he was always cold, due to being a vampire, feeding usually made him warmer, and he had just fed, so he was more room temperature. He moved so he was lying down and pulled her down on top of him, cradling her between his arms and legs as he continued to read. She giggled against him as she curled around him, resting her squishy face against his firm chest, excited for the next day.

So, Kacchan,” Izuku began as they walked hand in hand. Kacchan was, as always, dressed in all black, although he wore a short sleeve shirt for once, given the overcast sky. “What do you wanna do today?”

“Eh, whatever you wanna do, babe,” he smile easily, giving her hand a squeeze. “I mean, you invited me, so I assume you had something in mind.”

“Ah, yeah, I had a few ideas, but they’re all so good, I wasn’t sure which to decide on… Oh!” she exclaimed, looking to Kacchan excitedly. “There’s this adorable cafe that opened up that I’ve been wanting to go to! Let’s go there! It’s nearby, and I heard they have some vampire options, too!”

“Mm, sure, sounds great,” he said as she led the way to the cafe, the human nearly bouncing with excitement. They walked up to the quaint little shop, which had blacked out windows for the vampire customers. Clearly the shop catered to humans and vampires alike, which was nice. They stepped inside to find the interior had a dark colour scheme: dark wooden floors, red leather seats, black marble countertops, it was all very sleek and sharp, dark and warm.

“Woah, it’s so cool in here!” she smiled at him, bouncing on the balls of her feet in excitement as she pulled him to the counter, hearing him chuckle behind her. “Everything smells so good! I wonder what I should get? Hmmm, maybe some sandwiches? Or, some miso soup? Oh! They have a chocolate lava cake in a cup! It looks sooooo good!” she gushed, practically drooling already. “What about you, Kacchan? What do you want to eat?” she asked, looking up at her boyfriend.

“You mean, besides you?” he asked, cocking a brow at her which sent heat to her cheeks.

“Kacchan,” she whined, hiding her face in his arm. “You shouldn’t tease me!”

“But you’re so damn cute,” he chuckled, causing her to look up at him with a furious pout, puffing her cheeks out in irritation. “Anyways, I’ll probably a blood smoothie or something,” he said with a shrug before smiling again. “Wish you were on the menu.”
