The Twenty Fourth Chapter

****

I groggily opened my eyes only to find myself still nestled in Rudra's arms.

He missed gym. Unbelievable.

Yes consy, my husband missed gym.

For you!

Uh.

There I was, sprawled across his chest, his hands acting as human seatbelt securely fastened around my waist. As I lay there, my eyes decided to go full-on detective, memorizing every detail of his face. I couldn't help but think, I was turning creepier day by day.

Rudra's face, though, is something else. Picture a cute baby mixed with a bit of rugged charm like a sharp jawline and some facial hair. His eyes were peacefully shut, mouth slightly ajar - a real sleeping beauty.

In my half-awake state, a genius idea pops into my head- He should totally ditch the stubble and go for the clean-shaven look. Clean-shaven Rudra would be like a cute baby, but with a jawline. So pretty, right?

Go, you should shave his stubble off!

I planted a kiss on his chest, right where my head was comfortably resting. There I was, smiling like a maniac at a sleeping guy. Extremely crazy? Oh, absolutely.

Nestled in Rudra's comfy arms, I was in my own cozy world, where you get to eat ice cream for every meal, until the sudden intrusion of my ringing phone jolted me back to reality.

Ughhhh.

The ringing caused Rudra to stir slightly. I reluctantly shifted away, prying his hands from my waist to reach for the buzzing phone on the bedside table.

As I fumbled to answer the call, Rudra, still half-asleep, let out a low, almost whiny sound. It was the cutest protest as I moved away, and his hands lazily reached out for what was no longer there.

"One minute." I whispered making him frown.

I couldn't help but chuckle at his adorable antics.
