The Treehouse (Beronica)

Veronica's POV

I woke up and felt a cool chill around my shoulders. I knew that we had a crazy party at Cheryl's but that was pretty much it. I looked to my left and saw Betty curled up in blanket and that's when I realized we were both in our bra and underwear

I looked around while holding my head and figured out that we were in Jughead Jones' old treehouse. Veronica- (softly) "what the fuck happened last night?"

Just then I saw Betty slowly waking up so I just pulled the blanket up to cover me and any remaining dignity I had left. Betty- "agh, my head. And why is it so cold- Ve?" I gave a dumb little wave as she looked around in horror. Betty- "what the actual fuck" she looked at herself and then back at me.

Betty- "oh my god, did we..?" Veronica- "I have no idea but I think so" Betty- "h-how do you know?" Veronica- "well I don't feel like I can walk and my head is pounding" Betty- "but we still don't know for sure.. right? And where's my phone" Veronica- "open your eyes Be, we clearly did something last night and- "

She started putting her hair pack up in a neat ponytail and that's when I saw the giant hickey on her neck. Betty- "and what?" I couldn't say it, so like an idiot I just pointed to it. Betty immediately grabbed my phone and opened my camera. Veronica- "believe me now?" She nodded her head while keeping her eyes on the bruise. Veronica- "let's just get dressed and go to Pop's. some coffee might help us" she nodded again as I stood up and grabbed my dress as she grabbed her sweater and shorts

We walked to Pop's as Betty let her down again trying to hide the giant purple spot on her neck. Veronica- "it looks fine, just stop playing with it"  Betty- "I'm sorry, but I'm supposed to be the good girl who does no wrong" Veronica- "well pray we don't run into Cheryl, she'll make so many comments about us" Betty- "oh god, why is this happening" Veronica- "we got drunk at a party" she glared at me as I just laughed a little

Veronica- "sorry too soon, but it's really not that big of a deal. We're both single and no one got hurt" Betty- (sighs) "we just- I mean- it just can't happen again" Veronica- "y-yeah" I bit my lip and stared at the ground as we kept walking. We reached Pop's and sat down before Tabitha came over to take our orders. We got two coffees and she got some pancakes

Veronica- "I still don't understand why we were in Jughead's treehouse and where is your phone?" Betty- "I don't know, maybe we just decided to crash there or something" Veronica- "I think we should figure it out, just so we know" Betty- "I don't know Ve, isn't it best that we don't remember?" Veronica- "I guess, but I think I want to know" she looked at me as I pleaded and finally she sighed

Betty- "fine, we can figure it out mainly cause I need to find my phone. I don't wanna know how many times my mothers texted me" just as she said it Cheryl Blossom herself walked over to us. Cheryl- "well well, if it isn't the closet couple" Veronica- "what are you talking about?" Cheryl- "you don't remember? That doesn't surprise me. I mean you were completely out of it" Betty- "what did we do?" Cheryl- "I found you two making out in a closet for no reason. After I opened the door you told me that you were a couple"

Betty buried her head in her hands as I chuckled for a second before I cleared my throat. Veronica- "you have to know we were waisted Cheryl, we're not actually a couple" Cheryl- "well you could've fooled me" she waved goodbye as Betty peaked through her hands. Betty- "is she gone?" Veronica- "uhh.. yep she's gone" she lifted her head back up. Betty- (sighs) "what are we going to do?" Veronica- "well we know we were at Cheryl's for awhile" Betty- "yeah but we already knew that, we need to know when we left"

Veronica- "should we go see Cheryl after?" Betty- (groans) "do we have too?" Veronica- "come on, you're not at all curious about what happened?" Betty- "okay fine, just let me eat my breakfast first" Veronica- "of course"

Tabitha brought over her food and she eat it probably as slow as possible but then she finished. Betty- "fine, I can't do this forever" I chuckled as we stood up and started walking to thornhill but were stopped by Tabitha

Tabitha- "oh Betty, you left this here last night" she handed her phone as she sighed of relief. Veronica- "wait, we were here last night?" Tabitha- "oh yeah, you told me you were on a date" she had a smirk on her face as Betty blushed. Veronica- "w-we're not actually together, we were extremely drunk" Tabitha- "oh yeah, I figured that out when you took of your shirt and started singing karaoke" Betty- "what!?" Tabitha- (laughs) "I'm joking, you just had a burger"

She and I both started laughing as she crossed her arms. Betty- "ha ha, I don't get that drunk very often and you don't have to make fun of me" Veronica- (smiles) "sorry Be"  Betty- "it's fine, let's just head to thornhill" Veronica- "maybe we don't have to, Tab? What time did Betty and I come her" Tabitha- "around one, then you told me you were going to Betty's. she said her mom was home so you two just went somewhere Betty knew of. Betty- "the treehouse"

Veronica- "so that's it? Nothing provoked this?" Tabitha- "oh something definitely did, and it's been you two all along. You're always flirting with each other even if you don't realize it"

Betty and I just stayed silent and looking at the floor as she laughed. Tabitha- "I think you two have some talking to do" she waved and went back inside. Betty and I didn't say another word to each other so I just started walking hoping she would, luckily she did

I walked her to the place it all started this morning, the treehouse

Betty- "why are we back here?" Veronica- "we're here because we need to talk and this is the first place I could think of" Betty- (sighs) "Ve, we can't actually date. You know that" Veronica- "give me reason we can't"

I sat down as she sat in front on me. Betty- "w-well, u-um I just- I guess" she sighed. Betty- (softly) "I can't think of one" Veronica- "so you like me back?" She looked to the side before she met my eyes and slowly nodded. Veronica- (smiles) "I'm glad, and we don't have to know what happened last night.. but we could guess" Betty- "oh yeah?" Veronica- "I mean, only if you wanted too" I batted my eyelashes as she smiled and shook her head

Betty- "you are too irresistible Veronica Lodge" Veronica- (chuckles) "I try my best Betty Cooper"

She leaned forward and kissed me quickly. Veronica- "so? Should we try and guess what we did last night?" Betty- "I mean we have nothing better to do"

I chuckled before putting my hand on the back of her head and pulling her lips close to mine

We finally found each other because of a dumb party and a stupid treehouse
