They're Our Daughters (Bughead)

Betty's POV

Jughead and I got married a couple years after graduating. We loved each other so much and knew it was the right decision.

A couple years after both were working steady jobs and ready to talk about growing our family so I made him dinner.

Jughead- "this is amazing Betts!" Betty- "thanks Juggie, my mom gave me the recipe" I was playing with my food but he didn't notice. We lived in my parents old house because my moved to Florida and gave it to us. It was the perfect size to raise a family and I couldn't wait to talk to him.

Betty- "Jughead? Can we talk ab-" I was interrupted by a knock on the door. We both looked at each other with our eyebrows scrunched before we both got up and walked to the door

We opened and found a little basket that held a little baby who was crying. She was wrapped up in a light pink blanket and had a note beside her. I immediately picked up the baby as Jughead picked up the note

Jughead- "her names Laura, she's five weeks old" Betty- "does it say who left her?" Jughead- "no, just that we need to take care of her" I looked down at the little baby in my arms before looking back at Jughead. Betty- "what are we going to do?" He put his hand on my shoulder and looked at the little girl. Jughead- "I think she's ours Betts" Betty- "w-what? J-jug we can't- I mean we don't have the stuff a-and we were supposed to have nine months to get ready"

He paused and looked at me. Jughead- "is that why you made dinner? Because you wanted to talk about having a baby?" I slowly nodded as he kissed the top of my head. Jughead- "well maybe this is a sign, maybe we're supposed to start our family immediately" I giggled as a few tears rolled down my face. Jughead- "why don't you take her inside and I'll run to the store and grab some emergency supplies"

I nodded again and kissed him. Jughead- "I'll be back as soon as I can, you're okay here?" Betty- (sniffles) "I-I think so" he wiped a tear off my face as he got in the car and I took Laura inside

I sat down on the couch and didn't move until Jughead got back. I didn't know what to do and I didn't want to drop her or hurt her so I just sat carefully. She only started fussing a little bit but I placed her on my chest which calmed her down

Once Jughead got home, he set up the little crib that he got. I changed her into a onesie and gave her some formula. Betty- "are we actually doing this?" Jughead- "well, I kind of already installed the car seat so I guess" Betty- (giggles) "I just can't believe it, but why us?"

Jughead sighed and sat down beside us. Jughead- "I don't know, maybe it was just chance but either way she's with us" he took my hand as we both looked at Laura. Jughead- "and I think that's enough for now"

He rubbed Laura's head as we heard soft snores coming from her. Betty- "is her crib ready?" Jughead- "yeah should be, I put it in our room for now but maybe we could give her your old room" Betty- "I would love to Jug, why don't we take her shopping tomorrow" Jughead- "jeez already? Isn't Veronica going to do that enough?" I laughed as we both headed upstairs

A few years later

Jughead and I welcomed our own baby girl who we named Jessie. Laura loved playing with her little sister and we were excited to tell them our big news! Jessie was about three and Laura was five and our family of four was about to become a family of five

Betty- "hey bebes, can we talk to you for second?" They both jumped up and ran over to Jughead and I. Jessie- "what is it mommy?" Laura- "yeah?!" Jughead- "well we have something big to talk to you two about" their eyes light up as they both gasped and looked at each other. Betty- "well we're actually!-" we were interrupted by a knock on the door and it felt like deja vu. Jughead- (whispered) "I can't do four, I'm sorry" I giggled before I put Jessie on my hip and walked to the door
