Getting The Girl (Barchie)

Archie Andrews POV

So there's this girl, Betty Cooper. My best friend and partner in crime since the first grade but I've had a crush on her since the third grade. She's just so perfect with her beautiful Blonde hair and emerald green eyes. I want her so badly but there's a problemx, she's dating my former best friend Jughead Jones.

I know that I shouldn't break them up but it's been hurting for awhile now. I tried dating the new and popular girl but I realized I was just filling the void. Every time I see them together in the hallway I feel guilty even though I haven't done anything. Today's our first day of senior year and all I have to do is make it through one more year of school, then she'll be gone

Mary- "Archie! You're gonna be late!" I ran down the stairs before petting Vegas and grabbing an apple Archie- "will you be home  this week?" She looked at me with an apologetic smile meaning she wasn't Mary- "I have a trial, but I'll be home on Saturday" I nodded before running out the door, but slowed down when I passed Betty's. i watched her say bye to her parents before running down the steps to meet me.

Betty- (smiles) "hey Arch!" She always greeted me like that, and I always loved seeing her smile. Archie- "Hey Betty, ready?" She nodded as she linked our arms and started walking down the street.

Betty- "I can't believe we're graduating! This is everything we've been working towards" I didn't have the heart to tell her last year but now she had to know. Archie- "um, Betty? I'm not graduating this year" she stopped Betty- "what?" Archie- "I have to take another year, there's no way I can do everything, I didn't pass the SATs and I didn't finish half my classes last year. I won't be graduating in June" her face became serious as she started walking again but this time she was speed walking, I followed her quickly trying my best to keep up

Archie- "Betty? What are you doing?" Betty- "I'm gonna go talk to WeatherBee, and you're gonna work your ass off with me to make sure that you fucking graduate" in our many many years of friendship I've heard Betty Cooper swear maybe three times, including that one. Archie- "We're not in second grade anymore Betty, it's not going to work" Betty- "well I still have to try, you deserve to walk across that stage at the end of the year" she didn't stop until she reached the principals office inside the school

We found out that if I took the SATs again and did extra credit for last years english class I could have a chance to graduate which was music to Betty's ears. Betty- "so we'll have to start preparing as soon as possibe and oh- hey Juggie!" She ran over to him and kissed him as I lowered my head. Jughead- "hey Betts, w-what were you two doing?" Betty- "I was helping Archie graduate"

He glared at me as he put his arm around her shoulder

Betty- "ready Jug" Jughead- "yeah, let's go" They walked away from me as I sighed and went to my locker, but then I saw someone leaning on the locker beside mine

Archie- "hey Veronica" I opened my locked and put my backpack down. Veronica- "you told her I hope, I didn't break up with you so you could lie to her" I turned to face her and I heard her toe tapping. Archie- "I did, and she's helping me" she  rolled her eyes playfully and in annoyance at the same time. Veronica- "you know that's not what I ment, you have to tell her" Archie- "she's happy, she has a boyfriend and I don't want to ruin her life" I shut my locked and started walking  to my first class

I made it through the day with only think of the beautiful blonde once. Maybe twice. I try to stay away from her and Jughead but it gets difficult on the way home from school

Betty- "Arch! Come here" I turned and looked across the street to see Betty waving me over but Jughead looked pissed. I put my hands in my pocket and carefully crossed the road knowing Betty would cross if I didn't. Betty- "so you'll come over later to study, right" I quickly looked at Jughead who was carefully shaking his head
