+ What if: Harry Lived with Emmanuelle and Sirius? [Part 6]

Emmanuelle rose from where she sat and brought her husband to an embrace. She lets him cry on her shoulder, finally letting out everything he was feeling – anger, hatred, helplessness, fear.

The tension in the first war started with this. People disappearing, deaths, and then people started blaming each other. Though she knew Remus and Sirius would never make the same mistake, she was scared that this problem would have the two men say things that they do not mean and make a rift between them during a time where they needed each other most.

The radio sounded.

"—D.A. to Elvendork – D.A. to Elvendork – D.A. to Elvendor – we have a star reading."

"Star reading?" Lee voiced out the thought of confusion that everyone had in mind. He reached for the radio and called out. "This is River – D.A. could you repeat that?"

"D.A. to Elvendork – we have a star reading – Argo has been sighted."

"Come again?" Fred asked, joining Lee at the transmitter.

"Argo has been sighted –" A series of constellations were given. It was repeated twice before the D.A. moved to another star reading. "... Red Bird – Hydra. Izar. Deimos. Eitanin."

"What?" Newt asked, finding himself more confused than he was earlier.

The D.A. repeated the message again but after that the line was cut. Silence came to everyone in the room, all more confused than the moment the reading was given. Theseus tried to have Lee connect with the D.A. but the young man said it would be dangerous to have them call the D.A. again as it would give their location away, in fact they would be leaving now so the Death Eaters would not find them. As they argued about calling the D.A. and leaving now, Tom grabbed a piece of parchment and used his ballpoint pen to write down what was delivered by the D.A.

"Sirius!" Tom called for his brother-in-law. "I need your help."

Coming to Tom's side, Sirius questioned why the man was taking maps and star maps from the rolls of charts that were lying around. "What is it?"

"Those are constellations."

"Yes, and so –"

"Argo has been sighted. Sirius."

"It's Carina," Emmanuelle realized. "Carina is the Keel of Argo – Tom, you're a genius!" she went to her brother's side. "Argo has been sighted – they found Carina!"

"No, it's most likely, Carina managed to reach them." Tom explained. "How? I do not know, maybe someone is helping her –" before Sirius could question, Tom shoved the star map to him and the map. "Sighted means location. Carina gave her location through constellations. It's the middle of January, what are the constellations that could see those stars by this time? Sirius!"

"Hold on!" Sirius ran his hand through his hair as he tried to think. "I-I can't be certain. Everyone could see those stars – we see those constellations from Ottery St. Catchpole –"

"Then that means she's in England." Said Emmanuelle. "Somewhere south?"

"It's too vague." Sirius muttered. "But Mustelidae – there's not constellation that's Mustelidae. But it sounds like it could be."

"It's not," Newt spoke. "It's part of the Animalia Kingdom. Mustelidae are mammals – carnivorous mammals: badgers, otters, wolverines, ferrets, minks –" when he saw the look of from the others, he asked, "What? I-I also dabble with non-magical creatures, they're just as interesting as magical beasts."

"Did you say Ferrets?" Fred asked.

"Yes."

Fred snapped his fingers. "She's with Malfoy – Barty Crouch Jr. turned Malfoy to a ferret – there's no doubt she's mentioning Malfoy." He chuckled. "Even when you're captured you're still calling Malfoy names, classic Carina."
