12:31a.m.

I groan hearing my phone ring,waking me up.

I pat the bed trying to locate my phone, when i finally find it I see that mira is calling me.

"Hey-" I stop when I hear her sobbing

"Mira baby are you okay?" I ask her

"He hit me" she cries and my eyebrows knit in confusion.

"Who hit you"
"Kaleb, my boyfriend- ex" I get off the bed calling Trey

"No don't tell him please " she begs
"What do you mean don't tell him someone hurt you samira" I say frustrated

"He won't understand, please, I know Trey" she continues to beg and I sigh

"If I can't tell him what should I do then"
"I don't know I just can't keep this to myself and my mom isn't here, you said I could talk to you" she cries

"You can talk to me" I tell her as I sit back down on the edge of the bed

"Accept my face time" I tell her and she does

When the call switches shes sitting on the floor against a wall, wiping her tears away with the back of her hand.

"Where did he hit you?" She gets silent and I see the bruises starting to form on her face.

My anger flares

"Samira I have to tell Trey about this" I tell her and she shakes her head

"Tai I'll be okay, if you tell him he'll get himself in trouble "

I sigh

What should I do?
I can't keep this to myself.

Trey will be so mad if he finds out that I kept this from him, but Mira will never trust me again if I do.

"Atleast tell me how this happened"

She sighs before she gives me the run down of everything .

"I just wasn't ready and he doesn't get that" She cries and I feel the tears running down my face too.

"It's okay it's not your fault Mira" I wipe my tears.

"I'm gonna go get myself cleaned up my mom's coming back anytime soon" she tells me and i nod.

"Call me if anything okay?" I tell her and she nods saying good bye.

I put my phone down holding my head in my hands.

Me and samira built a bond when she was here in June, we got along pretty quickly.

To see her crying because some wasteman put his hands on her makes my blood boil.

I can't keep this to myself.

I jump startled when Trey walks through the door.

He gives me a puzzling look when I quickly wipe my face.

"Wah do you?" He asks me getting closer

He holds my chin making me look at him as he stares in my face.

I look away.

"He won't understand, please, I know Trey"
