The next morning, Jungkook woke early and looked over at Taehyung.
The older was sleeping so quietly that he had to fight the urge to lean over and kiss him. Instead, he admired the way Taehyung slept serenely, as though he were truly at rest.
The morning air was so quiet, the sun barely peeking out, rays shyly streaming through the low branches of the trees.
Jungkook looked around, appreciating the time of day when the world was still and nothing bad had happened yet
Carefully, he got out of bed so as not to wake the older and padded into the bathroom to pee and brush his teeth.
He ran his fingers through his messy hair and added deodorant, so he smelled good but not too artificial, taking a lot of care to make sure that he was presentable and acceptable, to himself but also to Taehyung.
He didn't want to get up for good yet so he got back in bed and stared at his phone, scrolling through email and looking at his calendar.
JUNGKOOK: meeting w/ the
lawyer was shit
JIMIN: jeez, really?
JUNGKOOK: Affirmative
JIMIN: what's next?
JUNGKOOK: I wrote her
a massive check
JIMIN: as one does
JUNGKOOK: There was
some other stuff we will
need to deal with later
JIMIN: makes sense
JUNGKOOK: But I need to talk
to Namjoon about it first tbh
JIMIN: oh?
JUNGKOOK: Yeah...
JIMIN: any progress
with mcdreamy?
JUNGKOOK: Sort of?
