Chapter 100: Pretty In Pink

"Sorry!" I apologized all over again while I handed her the pre- natal vitamins.

"It's okay." She replied handing me back the glass. "You've postponed the meeting with O2 for two weeks now. You can't possibly postpone again. They just might get tired of waiting and back out."

I stomped my feet a bit. I hate breaking my word. "But today is your first checkup. I did promise you that I'd be involved with your pregnancy this time around."

"You're already experiencing the symptoms. I think that's more than enough involvement."

"But still..." Guilt was eating me up at missing a first in my second child's life.

She kissed me to shut me up. "Quit with the guilt trip okay." Her fingers locked themselves on my nape. "There will be other check-ups you can accompany us to."

"But they'll only be the second, third, fourth, never the first." I sulked.

"RJ..." Oh uh, I already getting on her nerves.

"Okay. I'll just end the meeting early so I can pick you up."

She turned me around and pushed me towards our bathroom. "Before you can end it, you have to get there and start it." She said, wrapping a towel around my neck. "Go and be quick about it. I'll prepare you suit."

"Oh good morning Kuya." I greeted him in surprise when I found him in my son's nursery for the fifth time in a row. "I thought you wouldn't be back after that barfing incident."

Barfing, that was Sebastian's reaction when we told him he was going to be a big brother. Worst, he didn't want either of us - RJ and I - coming near him; screaming for his grandparents or uncle when we tried.

"He did worse when were back in London," was his reply, nestling his nephew comfortably in the cradle of his arms. "Remember the time we brought him to the park?"

I was already smiling even before my mind could come up with the memories his words called forth. His good mood was contagious. Come to think of it, it has been a while since I've seen him in such a good mood. "Oh yes and he dropped one stinky bomb."

"And I happen to have the good fortune to be carrying him when you forgot his wipes."

"Good thing you invited Alexa along and she had her wipes with her."
We both realized my booboo at the same time. "Kuya, I'm sorry. I didn't..."

He cut me off with a rueful smile. "I know." He told me as he handed over my son. "I'll leave you two. I just remembered that I needed to call the Professor to update him."

I turned around to follow his retreat with my eyes. "Hopefully, you won't grow up like them who keep on pushing love away." I told my son as I fixed my hold on him. "Well, you're half of me so you already have a good start." I assured him, nuzzling his neck. "You're in need of a bath."
My son looked at me innocently, sucking vigorously on his teether. "Didn't Nana give you a bath before you went to bed?"

"I wanted to but Señora told me that it was already too late for a bath." Nana answered as she entered the room carrying a new set of bottles for Sebastian.
