Jimin was just walking in the halls when it happened. When the tall pretty popular kid came lumbering towards him.

"Oh dude, you're really smart, right?" Jungkook's smile is goofy.

"Yeah," Jimin furrows his eyebrows with a grin, confused. "What about it?"

"I'm failing science big time, like F's all around," Jungkook explains. "I need someone to help me, and I decided I would ask you first because I see you a lot doing smart things and that's cool. I'll pay you if you help me. So can you please help me understand science Jimin?"

"I'm surprised you know my name," Jimin admits.

"Of course I know your name," Jungkook purses his lips together. "Smart people are really cool. And I see you getting praise from all the teachers. And you're good at talking too, not all smart people are good at talking. Some are shy and only like books."

Jimin huffs out a laugh. "You really want me to tutor you?"

"You're my number one pick!" He nods.

"Well lucky for you I only teach cute people, so you're in," Jimin flirts, knowing Jungkook won't get it. He's not really known for being the sharpest tool in the shed. "How about Thursdays?"

"Wait cute? Like puppies!?" See? Jungkook didn't get it. "Do you teach puppies?"

"No," Jimin deadpanned. "You're the only one I teach."

"So no puppies!?"

Jimin shook his head, pretending to be sad. "No puppies."

"Well...that's okay, because at least I have you," Jungkook smiles a warm smile. "Okay bye!"

"See you Thursday," He calls after the boy who's now running away.

"Come on, my house is this way," Jimin leads him on that Thursday.

"Cool, I love going to other people's houses," Jungkook's just naturally a person that smiles a lot. "Thank you again for helping me."

"Sure, you're really nice, and you're paying me," Jimin laughs. "I'm happy to do it."

"My mom always says God took a chunk of my brain and made my heart bigger with it," Jungkook shrugs. "I may not be smart, but it doesn't take a big brain to be nice to people."

Jimin held back a smile, because Jungkook was just so cute. He liked him, he wasn't afraid to admit it, but he wasn't gonna tell Jungkook. "Your mother is a wise woman. She taught you well."

"Woah she must really be wise if you say so," Jungkook marvels. "You're seriously so cool."

Jimin could get used to this praise.

They quickly got to Jimin's house, Jimin punched in the code, and the front door opened. Jimin brought him to his room. It was kind of messy, a bit of clutter here and there, but nothing too bad.

"You can sit at my desk, I'll go grab another chair," Jimin instructs kindly.

"Okay," Jungkook sits at the white chair, matching the large desk of the same color. They're both chipped and worn down by age. The desk has shelves, filled with certificates and pictures of small Jimin, beaming with various awards in his hands. In some of them he was missing a tooth or two. Jungkook's smile was warm as he looked at them all. He thought Jimin was adorable, he's thought so since he first saw him in middle school.

"Sorry that took so long," Jimin came in, causing Jungkook to turn around. "I had to carry a dining room chair up the stairs.

"That's okay," Jungkook beams. "You're gonna make me smarter so it's worth it."
