The two walk up to school hand in hand, nervous smiles on their faces. People stare at them, people whisper, but they can't be bothered, they're much too happy. Once they made it to the hallway a familiar face ran up.

"Oh my God, Jimin, Jungkook!" Taehyung frolics. He's been their friend since middle school. Jungkook didn't like him at first, he was jealous Tae and Jimin spent so much time together and made irrational assumptions. Once that was all cleared up, and Jimin had prompted to the point where he actually gave in, they started becoming friends, and Jungkook and Tae realized they got along really well. Jimin and Jungkook have really only ever needed each other, but they both loved Tae, so it was nice to have him around. "Is it really true? Are the Instagram photos real?"

"Yeah they are," Jimin laughed. "We went to city hall last night, Mama, that's what Jungkook's mom is letting me call her now, took the pictures, and now we're legally married."

"My mom let us go through her old rings she used to wear before she got married," Jungkook added, holding up his left hand. "We'll just wear these until we can afford actual wedding rings."

"She loves us so much," Jimin smiled into Jungkook's cheek before kissing it. "She offered to pay for rings, but she's already done so much for us. I mean I showed a slight interest in Balenciaga a couple years ago and she spent hundreds on a hoodie. We're gonna save up for rings together, just me and Kookie this time."

"Congratulations you guys!" Tae cheers. "I'm so happy for you two! I've only known you for half of the time you've been together, but even those five years seemed enough to prove you deserve to spend the rest of your lives together."

"Yesterday my mom said back on the day I asked Jimin to be my boyfriend, I said I hoped to marry Jimin someday," Jungkook chuckled. "Obviously my hope never went away, and that hope turned into intention a few years ago, and finally we got to legally become each other's."

"You're legally mine," Jimin giggled, kissing him.

"And you're legally mine," Jungkook smiled into the kiss.

Jimin pulled away. "Tae, we obviously can't afford a party, but we're having a little dinner event Jungkook's parents insisted on throwing, and we'd both love for you to come."

"You can bring Yoongi too," Jungkook told him. "He's nice, and it took you a long time to settle down and stop bouncing from person to person."

"Hey, sure I've dated a lot people, but not everyone finds their soulmate when they're eight," Tae defends. "I wanted to find the right one. I'm sure that for now Yoongi is definitely the right one for me."

"I hope so," Jungkook looks at him. "We want you to be happy."

"Will you come?" Jimin asks. "It's tonight at 6:00."

"Of course," Tae beams.

"Great," Jungkook mirrors his expression.

"I'm so excited!" Jimin bounces a bit.

"Oh my God you're so adorable," Jungkook cooed. "Isn't my husband so adorable?"

"I am adorable," Jimin answers instead of Tae. "I was one of the only cute boys on the playground, remember?"

"I'm so glad Jamie said no," Jungkook held him close. "We probably would've broken up before the year ended. He likes football, he's on the football team doing something I don't know the name of. Frontback? Football is stupid, you throw around pig skin and run around knocking each other over and falling on top of one another. It's so gay without being gay and that's stupid."

"Well if you broke up you would've just come to me afterwards," Jimin points out. "Baby Kookie was determined."

"From day one I was determined to marry you," Jungkook countered, kissing him again. "If you work hard and are patient, good things come along. And I got the best thing, spending the rest of my life with you."
