Grian sat in the arm chair of his flat with both hands at his temples. He stared dead ahead at a wheeled up chalkboard that had dozens of multi-colored strings attached to pictures of different people.

The missing people, the suspects, the witnesses. All the photos were there with tiny bits of information written in chalk beside them.

The great detective was stumped and it was slowly angering him.

"The dock master has an alibi. He was helping an immigrant family map out different locations of interest.

The grounds keeper had people confirm he had not left his post.

Miss Monster101 was serving the governor's family the night the first missing person is reported.

Where is the line? Who is the outcast? Who is the out looker? Who is my kidnapper?"

Grian slammed his hands down against the arms of his arm chair, sucking in a deep breath of air before shutting his eyes tightly and rethinking.

"The first missing person was officer XisumaVoid of the very own Scotland Yard.

Next it was Lawyer Welsknight. A graduate of London's finest.

The third was a news reporter under the London Gazette. Reporter ZombieCleo."

Grian reopened his eyes then stood up from his chair, shoving the chalkboard back in an angry huff.

"Then there were many more after that. But all the ties link with these four damm people! Who is the kidnapper!" Grian raged.

The door to his flat opened.

Rendog and Docm77 both walked in.

"Grian? Why are you yelling?" Ren questioned, taking off his coat and hanging it up.

Doc untucked a newspaper out from underneath his arm and placed it on the small coffee table before returning to also take off his coat. "Man, I told you you shouldn't have taken the case. Admit it, the case has gotten too large for you."

Grian scoffed, crossing his arms and plopping back into his chair. "I don't remember asking for your input."

Ren shook his head. "You guys-" Ren walked over to the couch and sat down. "-need to not bicker right now. We took the case and we'll solve it the best we can."

Doc gave an audible sigh and grabbed his newspaper again before plopping down in the other armchair, opening the paper. "Whatever man."

The three sat in silence.

After five minutes of silence and a couple newspaper turns later, Doc broke the silence and spoke out.

"The standoff over west seems to be picking up traction."
