Chapter 114

I stood inside my room staring out the window at the pedestrians below in the street. "I do hope...you don't give up on your happiness like Nik told me you were doing." A voice said behind me. I turned around to see Kol. "Kol." I said with a smile. "That is my name." He said with a smile. I walked over to him and pulled him into a hug. "Didn't you were going to come." I said pulling away. "Yeah. Well I wasn't until the amount of magical notes wouldn't stop appearing in my pocket and got annoyed with it." He said with a smirk. "Is it true?" He asked. "Is what true?" I asked. "You giving up your happiness to become a host and take in another being? Are you seriously willing to give up being with the woman you love most?" He asked. "I don't want to. But I have to. It's the only way for them to be safe." I explained. "Why you selfless little fox! I did not come here to listen to you about walking away from your happiness. If I can get happiness you bloody can too." Kol said. "How is Davina?" I asked. "Splendid. I hope I get to ask you the same question with Hayley." He said with a sigh. I dropped my head. "Don't get your hopes up." I told him. "God. You're selfless. But you sure as hell are stubborn." Kol groaned. "I'm a Mikaelson. Stubborn is practically our middle names." I countered. "Nevertheless. I won't allow you to do this. You are my younger brother. I'm not going to let my younger brother walk away from the best thing that's ever happened to him because of something as ridiculous as chivalry." He said. "Kol!" Let's go!" Rebekah exclaimed. Kol looked at me. "Please. Make the right choice here. You only get this chance once." He said before leaving. I sighed before following behind him. 

Rebekah, Elijah, Klaus, and Kol were standing around Hayley and Hope. "About time you showed up." Rebekah said looking at me. "You thought I was gonna allow you to leave without saying goodbye?" I asked her. "Rebekah I need you here. Elijah I need you right there. Kol opposite of Rebekah. Stiles...opposite of Elijah." Vincent said. Kol looked at me. "You were gonna do it anyway. Weren't you?" Kol asked. "Forgive me." I said sadly in tears. "Now. Hayley when I tell you. I'm gonna need you to take the binds off of Hope immediately when I tell you." Vincent said. "Vincent...Quick question. On a scale of 1 - 10. How badly is this going to hurt?" I asked. "3000." He answered. "Great. That's bloody fantastic." I said sarcastically. "It's not too late to back out you know?" Rebekah told me. "Of all the people in this room...I'm the most adapted at handling possessions of tormentous beings." I said before Vincent started the spell. I looked down at Hayley. "I'm sorry." I told her. "There was no other way." I said as I began to shake from the power of the spell. "No. I'm not letting this happen." Klaus said. "This isn't your decision to make brother." I told him. "You of all people should know brother...I don't like being told what I can and can't do." He said running at me and taking my spot. I flew across the room and crashed into the wall. I got to my feet. "You can thank me later, brother." He told me. "Thank you?! You're doing exactly what I didn't want you to do!" I shouted over the sound of the spell. "Your happiness was worth the risk." He said before Vincent told Hayley to unbind Hope. I watched helplessly as the Hollow flew into each of my immortal siblings. They gasped distraught. "I can hear it..whispering." Rebekah said. "Okay, you guys need to go. Now!" Vincent yelled. Kol was the first to leave and then Rebekah. I watched as Elijah left as well. Klaus stayed behind staring at Hope. "I need to know if she's alright." Klaus said. "Klaus, I promise you, she is going to be okay if you go." Vincent told him. Hope woke up a few seconds later. "It's okay, baby. You're okay." Hayley told her. "Mom." Hope whispered. Hope sat up looking at Niklaus. "Daddy? What's happening?" She asked him as I stumbled over to them. "Hope. I love you." Klaus said before speeding away. He brushed my shoulder leaving and I felt something with weight inside my pocket of my jacket. "Dad? Dad! Dad!" Hope yelled as Hayley held her close. I dug into my pocket and pulled out the small black box and a piece of paper. It was a note from Klaus.

Dearest Mieczy,

         Forgive me for what I've done. But I could not allow you to walk away from those you hold dear to your heart. I couldn't have that on my conscious knowing there was something I could do about it. So...I hope that you'll overlook my moment of selflessness and do what your heart desires...give into your selfish desires and propose to the love of your life. You deserve this Mieczy. And I hope one day...you will see...I was right.

I looked up from the note in tears and looked at Hayley. She stood up and looked into my eyes. She ran to me and I pulled her into a kiss. "I love you, Hayley Marshall." I told her. "And damn it. I could rattle off everything I love about you but I wouldn't know where to start. All I know is..." I said as I got down on one knee holding out the small black box. "No matter where you go...no matter what life throws at you...I'm want to be by your side. For all eternity. If hell were reign on Earth one thing would remain constant....I will NEVER stop loving you. And for once...I'm running out of things to say." I rambled. "Yes." She interjected. "What?" I asked. "Yes." She said with a smile. "Seriously?" I asked getting to my feet. "You would think the trickster would know if he was being tricked or not?" She said with a smile. I looked down at the ring and put it on her finger. "A dear friend told me to give this to someone that made my heart want to burst out my chest and reach for the stars. And right now...My heart is on route to the stars." I said smiling before I pulled her into a kiss. "I love you Stiles Mikaelson." She said between kisses.
