For everything there is
a season, and a time for
every matter under heaven.

~ Ecclesiastes 3:1

Wake up! Your word is all
powerful. Your consciousness
is one with Omnipotence.
Your thought is infinite. Your
destiny is eternal and your
home is everlasting heaven.

~ Ernest Holmes

Wow it did finally arrive. We survived the 2012 passage through the Solstice portal and now there is a new start on a new long-count cycle of 26,000 years. I do believe that humanity has progressed but it has been excruciatingly slow. Has it not ? 2,000 years ago a humble man named Jesus came into physical incarnation and his desire to love (for love to be what guides mankind) was so strong that he traveled the countryside preaching that message. Whether or not there were any miracles attached to his birth, his life or his death – there is no argument that the value of love mattered to him. Love should be easy for any person to wrap their mind around though sadly too often it is not easy. Even so this one person living in harsh and difficult times thought so much about the value of love that he was put to death because he would not stop preaching that message. I don't doubt that God must be love for that is the highest and best humanity has yet to express in form.

I feel that I was privileged to live through the 2012 year. I willingly embraced a concept of birth – midwifery – that I had long supported through the dark days when midwifery was illegal in my home state of Missouri. I've shared in the joy of those who worked long and hard to achieve a legislated acceptance of the practice of midwives attending births for the women who wanted to experience the natural expression of a blessing that is as old as humanity. The season and Life itself is ever about new opportunities for human beings to live once again in the pure newness of infancy. One midwife is quoted as saying – "Attending births is like growing roses. You have to marvel at the ones that just open up and bloom at the first kiss of the sun but you wouldn't dream of pulling open the petals of the tightly closed buds and forcing them to blossom to your time line." ~ Gloria Lemay, Birth Attendant

So we arrived at the long predicted "big day" and wondered whether anything changed. The world seemed pretty much the same and perhaps that is the miracle of it all. There were too many people under the mistaken impression that the world was going to end on Dec 21st. Looking out my window the morning after at a blue sky and sunshine I knew it wasn't so. Yet I did know also that I was one of a multitude of Angels that had been working for decades to slowly allow a new world to bloom in a naturally unfolding process. I honestly do believe that our work is rippling outward in real expressions. Each one of us who has been consciously working to create a world that works for everyone has given the effort our individualized attention and care. As midwives of the new long cycle we chose to manage the pains of existence using naturally spiritual methods.

The new Earth is not a single moment in time. Just because we made it through the labor to the birthing acknowledged around the globe that day in 2012 did not mean that our work was then over – far from it. We knew that we had to nurture whatever will come next. We were given the charge of making certain our new Gaia child could grow up to be the best expression yet of this planet's collective consciousness. We still seek to realize the FULL potential of even more greatness. In 2012, my family watched two different versions of the Apollo 13 story and the result that humanity has experienced from stepping off of this planet and looking back at it from the Moon or in exploring Mars is to fully realize how beautiful our planet Earth is and how perfectly suited it is for sustaining our human lives. It's a wonder that since those moon landings occurred over 40 years ago that there could remain so many humans that still don't get that we really, really have to honor and care for our nest, our planetary home.

So the Earth's/Gaia's midwives (which some call Lightworkers or Love Holders) will continue to support with their LOVE resonance the new world as our planet transitions into the next best expression we can be. We will encourage any healing that is needed along the way and will continue to nourish that young new beginning attached to concepts of 2012. As midwives we will continue to encourage those who are not even aware that anything has changed to take personal responsibility for their quality of life and for their behavior during a human incarnation and support any of these who awaken and wish to be contributors to the good of all sentient beings. We will continue to seek to encourage empowerment in each and every human being, while respecting their degree of development and where each living being is in their own evolution and collectively our evolution on this planet. We will always seek the gentle natural way to blossoming.

Some say that the Divine Feminine is re-emerging now after a long dark period of aggressive domination by a male hierarchy. Perhaps. At the least let us seek to encourage a female/male balance of responsibility and love for one another's strengths and support for one another's efforts to do it better going forward. Women have traditionally been the vessels that rebirth comes through. Men have traditionally supported the well-being of women and children. There is nothing wrong with what has been our human traditions and there is nothing wrong with both genders stretching into the realm of each other's roles to create a world that works for all of us. Happy Re-Birthing Gaia Day !!

With the arrival of winter/summer
I notice the changes that nature
displays and honor the natural cycles.
Our lives continually transition from
one natural cycle to the next and I
note that we lose nothing from these
constant changes but ever do we reach
for the next best expression.
Today I spend some quiet moments
reflecting on what has been but quickly
also transition to envisioning what I
wish to see come next as we enter
yet another new beginning.
Each second, each minute, each hour,
each day, each season – is a NEW
beginning and I am new along with it.
I welcome this new beginning with
high hopes and lots of optimism going
forward.
