Knowing that we are always provided for seems to be one of those concepts that humanity struggles with. While I have "proven" to myself, especially over the last quarter century or so, that all my needs and indeed many of my personal desires are repeatedly met and that I do not suffer in a poverty caused by a lack of awareness at just how well I am always provided for – I still struggle sometimes when my cash flow seems insufficient to the needs that I perceive. It does little good to ignore such signposts of being out of alignment with the Source that always provides enough and more than enough in truth.

Truth is that for awhile there I was so overwhelmed by the rapid growth of our business that I was emotionally pushing business away. Then the economic contraction came. It was crunch time. So, one of the ways that I have been addressing our needs for a greater influx of cash flowing through our business is also reflected in my "theme" or "focus" word for this year – receptivity. I don't want to resist the channels of supply that Source uses to provide for our needs. During our overwhelmed days, due in part also to babies and toddlers in our household and in-laws who lived close by that were dying of cancer, we stopped answering our telephone and allowed everything to go through the filter of voice mail as well as encouraging email communications. We were not alone in considering these methods efficient. However, the need for human contact suffered. We do business with the people we "like" to do business with.

The in-laws have been gone for many years now. The children are now teenagers and more independent. We keep our phone line open so that we are accessible to the necessary inquiries and to provide better customer support. I consider this a symbolic but meaningful gesture that we are receptive to business procurement. Of course, there are the aggravating junk marketing calls but call blocker is an awesome development in phone technology. Our business does NOT do any cold calling.  Potential sources of revenue reach out to us first. I am enjoy actually being involved with our customer base when the opportunity presents itself. And of course, we do have social media and blogs as part of our outreach efforts.

Back when I first wrote this essay some years ago, I was once again listening to the Abraham-Hicks guided meditation cd "Getting in the Vortex" track for Financial Abundance. I would do this meditation on business days and give myself a break from so much effort on the weekends. I think of spiritual practice like building muscles and use this to create the condition for flow into our support and provisioning. I know from past experience that when I turn on the spigot, if I don't take breaks from my spiritual work, before I know it I am overwhelmed again, so I seek balance these days. I like slow life and I do not enjoy the stress of overwhelm.

I do occasional Tarot readings using facade.com as my access.  At the time I wrote this essay, I had drawn a single Tarot Card, the 2 of Pentacles, for that particular year. My friend (who is much more into Tarot than I am) tells me that it indicates "a balanced position in spite of surrounding chaos, stable, infinite" and is "a positive card". My source for the card told me it indicated – "Balance and harmony achieved in a time of upheaval and transformation. Taking two steps forward for every one step back. Shifting the importance of projects and priorities to keep everything on track. A change in occupation or location." I always add "this or something better" when I consciously do "treatments". "This" being what I have now. I am not discontent with my current circumstances.

The only change that my heart thinks it would love to embrace is if I could bring revenue into this family by doing the writing that I truly love doing and through which whatever channels of revenue being acknowledged for any skill in that regard might open up for me. I continue that effort with definite work daily.  I hold this intention gently but without wavering. Within sight of my computer is an affirmation by Ernest Holmes that expresses for me one of my many roles in this lifetime. "My Creator has blessed me with a Universe teaming with abundance, and I appreciate it ! I stand in the midst of this abundance, using some of it, circulating all of it, thrilled to be a part of it."  That sentiment has not changed over many years.

I know that the less stress and anxiety
and the more certainty and ease that
I feel in regard to our finances, the more
constant our adequate financial supply.
I am always seeking to feel an increased
sense of my own financial well-being.
I know that the stream of abundance that
flows eternally through physical manifestations
is not a limited, quantifiable or a finite supply.
I know that there is absolutely NO limit to the
amount of abundance that exists as this planet.
My focus is on decreasing any resistance that
may still be part of my vibrational state
so that I can feel a gentle eagerness and
sense of fun about the flow of financial events
into and through my life.
