Cassidy was in the middle of casting a spell. On the table in front of her were a dozen lit white candles, a smoking sage smudge-stick, and a map, while a spindle hangs from the chandelier and pointed to Morocco on the map. In each of Cassidy's hands were various multi-colored crystals, and there were several other tables and candlabrums full of lit candles as well. After a moment, Cassidy, with her eyes closed, reached over and picked up a glass of water, wishing for something stronger but her pregnancy prevented it, before downing the water in one gulp.

The drink activated Cassidy's spell, allowing her to astral project to a hostel in Morocco. When she opened her eyes, she was sitting at a table in a colorfully-decorated home, and she smiled affectionately at Rebekah, who was sitting across from her and had just finished a drink of her own.

"Bekah!" Cassidy grinned. "I really wish I could hug you right now. I've missed you so much."

"I've missed you, too, gorgeous... and I'd want nothing more than to be in your arms right now." Rebekah replied. "But even if I am not able to kiss you or embrace you, at least I can see your gorgeous face. This is better than exchanging stuffy old letters."

"Well, a drink with my mate beats sireline drama any day." Cassidy sighed, frowning, obviously stressed. Rebekah poured them another glass of water each while they continued talking.

"Lucien has always been a pain in the ass. Though, he pales compared to that stuck-up twit Tristan." She muttered. Cassidy let out a chuckle, downing the drink in one.

"Oh, don't forget about The Strix. There's more of them in the Quarter every day... oh, and I'm pretty sure that Tristan's annoying, love-sick sister wants me dead so she can have Nik all to herself. I may yet join you here in the flesh."

"I would love nothing more than for you to join me here. I have missed holding you so much, it is all I can think about over these last few days since your letter, requesting to astral project so we could see each other." Rebekah stated. Cassidy smiled at her.

"I wish you'd come back home, Bekah. We need to be a family again... it feels like this family is falling apart. Davina has constantly got Regent duties, Kol is always helping Elijah with our Strix problems, Marcel is constantly busy with the vampires of the city, Freya is trying to find spells to defend ourselves against our new enemies in town, Klaus and I have only just made up after our two-week long argument, you are all the way across the North Atlantic Ocean, and I have these two devils to keep happy and healthy in there." Cassidy placed her hand on her baby bump. She and Rebekah each poured themselves another glass of water.

"Just wait, gorgeous. The weather will change, and I will be back before you know it. I promise." Rebekah assured. "Now, I'm off to a witch rendezvous."

"Stay safe." Cassidy smiled at her mate. Rebekah returned the smile, wishing to be able to kiss the heretic, but instead, she just lifted her glass.

"Here's to family... every bloody one of us."

Cassidy lifted her glass in toast before they each drank their water. Cassidy's astral form then returned to her physical body, and she opened her eyes to find herself once again sitting at the table, surrounding by items that she needed to astral project. She smiled when she thought about her reunion with Rebekah. Sure, they'd write a letter a day to each other, but it was better speaking face-to-face for a change.
