The end of the sixth month of pregnancy. My husband and I had gone for an ultrasound when we returned from our honeymoon in early July. We didn't want to know anything other than if the pregnancy was going well. And yes, everything was going great for our little baby that we already loved with all our might.

Today we were going to do our second ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby. Tom initially wanted to keep it a surprise until after the birth, but when he noticed how much stress I was under not being able to prepare for it, he agreed to find out the sex of our baby.

All our family and friends knew I was pregnant except for Tom's parents. Indeed, my in-laws had left to visit Asia at the beginning of September and were returning today from their long vacation. We decided not to say anything in order to surprise them at Christmas. We didn't need to show them an ultrasound because my huge belly didn't lie.

I don't know who wrote on the websites I read that the symptoms usually went away after 9 to 12 weeks because I still had nausea and cramps all day long. It was horribly beautiful to be pregnant and horribly painful but thankfully my amazing Tom was always there to help and support me.

Like my first pregnancy, I couldn't eat properly and threw up most of what I swallowed. This didn't stop me from trying to snack on small things so I wouldn't lose too much weight for the sake of the baby. This time the whole pregnancy was going well and in about 3 months we would finally meet our child.

"Are you reading to go Love?" Tom asked me as he entered the bedroom.

"Yes. Just need to send this real quick," I answered without looking away from my laptop.

My third novel was published at the beginning of August and was an unprecedented success. I had gained even more popularity and hundreds of interview requests were arriving daily on my mailbox. My lover had advised me to take on an assistant but I had refused.

In recent months, I only left the house when necessary or if we decided to go on a date. Firstly because I was quite weak and my back was hurting like crazy. And secondly because the celebrity world didn't know I was pregnant and wanted to keep it a secret a little longer.

"Ready," I said while closing my laptop.

Tom stretched his arms forward to help me up from the bed and quickly wrapped me in a long hug. Even though I knew that the evolution of my body was something beautiful, I found myself particularly ugly lately but my lover still seemed to love me with the same intensity.

Dressed warmly in loose clothing, I turned my face sideways and met my husband's thin lips. We kissed softly, as if we had all the time in the world and we did. We had time, we had all the time, we had infinity.

Soon we were in the car and Tom was driving through the long streets of London while singing various hits that were playing on the radio. He was as handsome as anything at the age of 43. A few gray hairs that he was trying to hide played on his head while new small wrinkles decorated the corner of his eyes.

"I'm so excited for today," I remarked with a huge smile.

"So excited to get the confirmation that we're having a girl," he replied with a wink.

"A boy Tom. It's going to be a boy," I corrected him while linking my hand with his on my thigh.

This was the biggest topic of conversation between my husband and me: the sex of our baby. We had even taken bets and I was totally convinced that it was a klutzy little boy based on the size of my belly. My husband was convinced that we were having a little girl. It was just a game between us, but in reality we didn't care about the sex of the baby. We were going to have a child, that was all that mattered to us.
