'*Can't Take My Eyes off You - Frankie Valli*'

WEDNESDAY 12.01.2022

This was the big day, the day my book would be published. I hadn't slept all night, terrified of the long day ahead of me. I could hardly breathe and my hands were completely sweaty. To calm myself, I turned on my side and took a long look at Tom, who was still sleeping. Just looking at him soothed every muscle in my body and relieved my doubts and anxieties.

His thin mouth was very slightly open but not making a sound. He was sleeping very deeply, his hands crossed under his head. His soft chest was rising and falling very gently, he was hardly breathing. I contemplated him attentively and my eyes scanned every corner of his angelic face. He was the most beautiful man on the planet, nothing could make me think otherwise.

"You know it's creepy to watch someone sleep?" he asked me in a barely audible voice.

"It's not creepy, it's romantic," I corrected him as I ran my thin fingers through his curly hair. "You're really beautiful when you sleep," I complimented him with a wide smile.

His eyes half opened and he immediately closed them again. Gently, he rubbed his eyelids before scratching his right temple. Without any warning, he pressed my back against the mattress and lay on top of me. His long, strong arms supported the weight of his body so as not to crush me. He could have crushed me, I didn't care.

"Are you freaking out a little?" he asked me with a smile.

"No not at all," I lied, placing my hands behind his tense neck.

"Love, you have the biggest dark circles I've ever seen in my life," he exaggerated, placing his lips on mine.

After a feisty kiss and tongue mingling, he withdrew from my body and sat on the edge of the bed. Elegantly, he combed his hair between his fingers and stood up. On his phone, he played the song "Can't Take My Eyes off You - Frankie Valli" before moving towards me and stretching his long arms out in front of him.

Without hesitation, I wrapped my fingers around his and let him drag me into the middle of the bedroom. His hands lodged on my hips and my breasts, covered by a thin silk dress, crushed against my man's muscular belly.

Slowly but with interest, we began to dance to the rhythm of the song. My forearms were resting on the sides of his neck while my hands were entwined together.

"Emily, you are the most amazing, strongest, most driven person I know. You have nothing to worry about today. You're going to leave them speechless," Tom reassured me, resting his forehead against mine.

"You really think they'll like me? And that they'll like my book?" I asked, pressing my nose against his.

"Your book is out of this world, Love. And you, it's impossible not to like you", he answered with certainty.

Quickly, my lips found his wet mouth. Our hips and tongues moved in absolute rhythm. Tom broke the kiss so he could sing the words to the song. Whenever he knew a song that was playing on the radio or that I had playing on my phone, he couldn't help but sing.

"I love you baby / And if it's quite alright / I need you, baby / To warm the lonely night / I love you, baby / Trust in me when I say / Oh, pretty baby / Don't bring me down, I pray / Oh, pretty baby / Now that I've found you, stay / And let me love you, baby / Let me love you" Tom's soft, beautiful voice echoed throughout the room.

I leaned my head against his chest and enjoyed his presence and the melodious sound he made. My mind left my body for a moment and nothing mattered, nothing worried me anymore. I was in the arms of the person I cherished most in the world.
