I sat in Sugu's house eating breakfast since Sugu invited me over.I asked where Kazuto was and she said that he was sleeping in due to him staying up all night working on his mechatronics project for school.
Sugu:Hey did you hear?
Y/N:You're talking about how Excalibur got found right?
Sugu:Yeah!
A couple months back,Leafa,Strea and I got swallowed by some big ass worm monster that dragged us to an underground land call Jötunheimr.We took a look around for a bit and encountered some four-arm humanoid monster that was fighting another monster that looked like a crossbreed between an elephant and jellyfish.Of course Leafa being Leafa,felt sorry for the weird crossbreed thing and told me to go save it.I told her to do it herself but she insisted by practically nagging me to death.I reluctantly lured the monster towards the lake as it fell through the ice like a dumbass leaving the crossbreed to finish it with ease.Leafa decided to call it Tonky,and suddenly it transformed into an even weirder looking monstrosity with eight wings.It let us hop on it's back and lead us through a passageway that led back to the surface.That's when we saw it,in an upside-down pyramid that hung from the roots of the Great Tree.The long golden overrated and overused sword.Excalibur.
Y/N:Heh,it'd be a good gift for Kazuto since he always brings up how much he wants to get it since I told him it was in the game files.
Sugu:Well it'd be a nice break from all the floor clearing you've been doing in new Aincrad.
Y/N:I wonder how they found it.You can't fly in Jötunheimer for some stupid reason and that seems to be the only way to even spot Excalibur.
Sugu:Unless they rescued one of Tonky's friends,when riding one of them they may have triggered a quest flag?If we could do it,someone else could too.
Y/N:Perhaps but who would trust one of those creepy motherfuckers?
Sugu:Hm?
Sugu gave me an intimidating glare as she drunk her milk.

Sugu continued giving me a death glare.

Sugu made bubbles in her milk displaying her anger.

Sugu:I don't have practice because of the holidays so i'm in.
Y/N:Alright,we're gonna need about eight or nine more people so let's go down the list.We can get Klein,Liz,Silica,Kirito,Asuna, and then there's you and me and Sinon should be available and I can get Strea so I think we're set.

I got home and saw my dad on the couch.
Dad:Hey son!How've you been?
Y/N:Good dad.What about you?
Dad:All good here.I'm off for the holidays so i'm happy as hell.
Y/N:Really?Then maybe we should go watch a movie or something.
Dad:Sure....Come here son,let me get a look at ya.
I walked over to my dad as he got up from the sofa and held my face with both of his hands.
Dad:Yep.These past couple of years really changed you.
Y/N:What do you mean?
Dad:I remember before you got trapped in that game.You always kept to yourself but now,I see that fire in your eyes.Your posture and body language is just boasting confidence.You look like nothing can stop you and I couldn't be more proud.
Y/N:Thanks dad.It means a lot to hear you say that.

My dad and I exchanged hugs until we broke it.

Maverick:I guess,shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Kirito:Seriously?!That dungeon's like way out there man.
Maverick:Fast travel is life.
Kirito:Y-yeah....can't argue with that.
Sinon:Hey I want something out of this too.The Shekinah Bow.
Kirito:Your avatar's two weeks old,and already you're going for a legendary weapon?
Sinon:Well i've been able to speed boost my level thanks to a very helpful person.
Sinon walked over and placed her arm on Maverick's shoulder.
Sinon:And the bow Liz made me is great now,but I need something with a little more range.
Liz:Oh yeah?Then what the heck are you using a bow in ALO for?Their reach falls between the spears and the magic.You're like the only player who wants to use these things to snipe from hundred meters.
Sinon:If I had my way,i'd want to double that range at least.
Maverick:Sinon's the best sharpshooter in the streets and under the sheets.
Sinon and Maverick laughed to each other as door opened as Asuna and Leafa walked in.
Asuna:Thanks for waiting.
Maverick:The hell took you guys so long?Did you get lost or something?
Yui:Not at all!We were gathering information,while we shopped.We talked to a whole bunch of people,Uncle.And,so far,not one player or party has reached that dungeon yet.
Kirito:Really?Well,then,how the heck do they know where Excalibur's at?
Yui:That's the thing,daddy.No one really knows where it is.Apparently,they found a different quest then the one that Uncle triggered.They met an NPC who told them if they finished this other quest,they'll get Excalibur as the reward.
Asuna:And,from what we heard,the quest they're is going on isn't pleasant.Instead of a delivery quest or an escort quest,it's a kill quest.Just slaughtering monsters. Everyone in Jötunheimer is out there right now killing as many as they can.
Maverick:Sounds like they're getting played.We know that the Excalibur is located in a dungeon located in the sky and Excalibur is locked at the bottom of it.To even get near it,we need to fight a bunch of monster but then some random NPC just comes along and says kill X amount of monsters and you'll get Excalibur?That's way too easy and remember that Excalibur is the most rare legendary sword aside from Dáinsleif.Hm,but I do prefer a kill quest...
Everyone:Hmm.......
Sinon:Well,i'm sure we'll find out once we get there.
Liz:Alright!Our weapons are all restored and ready for action!
Klein:Even though our party's full of hotness,we're still guild of meatheads.
Liz:If you wanna switch up,you could always boost your magic.

Yui:Yes,Klein.What Silica said is true.Remember the May update?It brought a whole bunch of new sword skills to ALO.Some are physical,and others are advanced,like Earth,Water,Fire,Wind,Dark, and Divine.All which are magical attributes.
