I was sitting in the entrance hall with Kirito as we waited for BoB to start.
Kirito:So,obviously this Death Gun guy is gonna go for more murders in the event right?
Maverick:Precisely.It's the perfect time but,the one thing i'm sure about is that he's probably not using the ID:Death Gun,but will probably be using a different screen name.
Kirito:So he's gonna be blending in.
Maverick:Not exactly,if my guess is correct then he will be wearing the same apparel.
I passed over a picture of what Death Gun looked like.
Kirito:Scary....
Maverick:If your scared of that,then,how will you ever be ready for marriage?
Kirito:Wait,what are you talking about?

I noticed Sinon walk in.
Maverick:She's like a codex,full of knowledge so I might be able to get some more info out of her.

I got up and walked over to Sinon.

The event started in 20 minutes and We or I was sitting in a booth since Sinon threatened to shoot or beat Kirito up if he sat at our table.
Maverick:So the 30 players spawn randomly around the map and kill each other in a battle royal style until one is standing correct?
Sinon:I knew it.You're gonna make me explain the whole damn thing aren't you?
Maverick:I mean,I can have the author do a time skip.
Sinon:What?
Maverick:What?
Sinon:*sigh*Anyways it seems like you have the basics of it.It's a battle royal between thirty players on the same map.Spawn point are random and players are 1000 meters from each other.
Maverick:From what you're telling me,this map is huge.Kinda reminds of PUBG.
Sinon:What's PUBG?
Maverick:Eh i'll tell you later anyway,continue please.
Sinon:Okay so it's a multi-stage arena,ten kilometers in diameter.It's got mountains,forests,and deserts.The start time is afternoon,so there's no advantage and disadvantage in terms of gear and skills.
Maverick:So how do other players find each other?They got a scanner or something?
Sinon:Yes it's called a satellite scan terminal.It passes overhead every fifteen minutes and scans the arean and transmits the location of the players so it works like a regular satellite.
Maverick:So players don't know exactly where the enemy is but has a general idea.
Sinon:You catch on quick,anyways if that's it i'm gonna go now.
Maverick:Just a second. I have one more question for you.
Sinon:Ugh,what now?
Maverick:It's the list of the BoB contestants.I wanted to see which people are first-timers.
Sinon:Fine.

So we have three potential candidates for Death Gun.

I sat there in silence until I came to the conclusion that I couldn't keep her in absolute darkness but at least shed a little light on the subject.With any luck,it'll be enough to satisfy her without putting her in immediate danger.
Maverick:Fine,some guy came up to me yesterday and it was a old rival in a VRMMO I played awhile back and i'm pretty he's one of those names on the list.
Sinon:Is he a friend of yours?

Maverick:Not like that either. I confronted his group because they were murdering innocent people and they were too far gone so we stopped them by force......I don't regret what I did but it annoys me when ghosts of the past come to haunt you especially when you know why you did it......

We walked into an elevator and I could just feel the nuclear tension that was between Kirito and Sinon.
Sinon:I better not see you on the field because I will not hesitate to kill you.

Maverick,Kirito,and Sinon reached floor B20 and the door opened they went their separate ways as the moderator could be heard.

Moderator:The third Bullet of Bullets has begun!
Maverick smirked as he placed his helmet on showing a navy blue visor.

The game started and I crawled out of the water and looked over on my map and sighed.
Maverick:*sigh*He's on the other side of the map.Well,he'll just have to book it here.Wish they couldn't have spawned me underwater.I'm not a fish.
I started running in the direction of some players.

They're were 21 players already left on the field and it looked like Dyne was on the run while Richie sat tight with his heavy machine gun.I'll go after Dyne and Pale Rider.....I wonder how he's doing up there?I realized what I said and tightened my grip on my rifle.I can't wait to kill him.I saw Dyne in my sights and I could hear him from where I was.
Dyne:Damn!This guy's persistent!Come on!I got a mag with your name on it!
Sinon:You forgot to check you're six again,Dyne.See you later.
I was about to pull the trigger until I heard a noise behind me I quickly pulled out my pistol and looked behind me.
Sinon:Who's there?!
A figure came out of nowhere and slapped my gun put of my hands and pinned me to the ground.I looked up and I got angry at the sight of Maverick.
Maverick:Heya,we gotta stop meeting like this.
Sinon:Wha-?!
Maverick covered my mouth.
Maverick:Indoor voice please.Unless,you want both us to get killed and by the way,don't shout who's there because you'll just alert the enemy that you're aware.
Maverick slowly removed his hand from my mouth and I used all my strength not to yell at him.
Sinon:What do you want?
Maverick:I need a favor.
I started whisper yelling at him.
Sinon:Are you kidding?!It's too late for favors!One of us dies right here!
Maverick:Geez!If you raise your voice more then they'll hear us genius and i'd rather not have them know we're here.

Maverick:I want to see how this bridge act plays out.So don't shoot,got that?

I freed Sinon and we positioned ourselves looking at the bridge.
Sinon:I'm not letting them leave the area alive.If he make some move,i'll take the shot.
Maverick:Go ahead.I'm not saying spare them.
I saw some guy come into view and noticed it was Pale Rider. Definitely not Death Gun but I think i'll stay just to confirm this.
Pale Rider dodged all of Dyne's bullets and shot him with his shotgun and the finished him off and Dyne died with the letters DEAD above his body.
Maverick:I wonder if maybe he did change his armor from the cloak....
Sinon:I'm taking him out.
Maverick:Go ahead just make sure he doesn't Matrix your bullet.
Sinon:Oh please,he can't dodge my bullet at this range.
Then someone shot Pale Rider in the shoulder but there was no gun shot.
Sinon:Did you hear a gun shot?
Maverick:Nope.Probably using a suppressor.
Sinon:Yeah or a laser with a massive blast.Either way,it wasn't a kill shot so why isn't he moving?
Maverick:I have a few theories on that.But how far do you think that shot was?
Sinon:Not sure,there was no one within a one kilometer range.Speaking of location,how did you get here?
Maverick:Spawned underwater and almost died but it probably covers you from the scan.Also I saw your familiar green outfit in the distance.
Sinon:I never knew we can use that to take cover from the satellite.Thanks for the tip,i'll keep that in mind.
Maverick:No problem.
I noticed a light coming from Pale Riders shoulder.
Maverick:Sinon,what's that light on his shoulder?
Sinon:Huh?A stun bullet?!
I looked and saw Death Gun standing on the bridge.
Sinon:He's got the AMR Deathwind!
Maverick:What's so great about that?
Sinon:It's a high-end sniper rifle that's got a badass silencer on it.I've heard rumors about there being only one in GGO.But,i've never seen it before...if he can handle that gun,he must be some player!
Death Gun slowly walked towards Pale Rider and pulled out pistol.
Sinon POV
Sinon:Why would he use a handgun to finish him off?
Maverick tapped my shoulder.
Maverick:Sinon take the shot.
Sinon:Huh?Which one?
