Naomi's POV
" Baby, what would you love to eat?" My mom asked Eugene. He didn't answer. He just stayed silent looking down. I sighed. My mom and aunty was trying hard to make Eugene talk or have something. He will be sick if he ignores food like this.
" You like Pizza? We can make one." My aunty said smilingly. He was silent.
" We can make pasta carbonara." My mom said and they looked at each other and gestured at Eugene.
" What about burger. Ham burger, cheese burger, hotdog?" My aunty asked. Eugene didn't said anything.
" Taco, Sushi, Risotto?" My mom asked. But he didn't talk.
" Ice cream, chocolate?" My aunty asked and got a glare from my mom.
" What, Trina?! This kid haven't have a single thing in this stomach. You are up to ice cream and chocolate?! You are grown up still crazy for ice cream. What am I telling you, that Eon boy he is still crazy then you have no fault here actually." My mom said shaking her head.
" I was just asking, Lucy. Nothing to be crossed." My aunty said and smiled sweetly.
" You really haven't grown up. You are the same Trina who was a little Barbie crazy for ice cream and always fighting with Eon. Most of the time for Ley. Actually, you both have same taste in things." My mom said.
" That's true. But I always won at last." My aunty said and I was examining Eugene. He was looking at mom and aunty. He was listening them very carefully.
" That because you started to cry and he needed to admit his defeat." My mom said.
" Yeah, those days!!!" My aunty sighed dreamily.
" You were a one tricky girl." My mom said.
" Yes, I was. I still am actually." My aunty said and both laughed.
" Those days will never come back but they were beautiful. Our childhood was very beautiful. Wasn't it?" Aunty asked.
" Yours was but mine was full of sufferings." My mom said and sighed. I know how my mom and her siblings suffered in their childhood. I can feel how horrible those days were.
" Yeah I know. I am sorry, Lucy." My aunty said.
" No worries. It's ok." My mom smiled.
" This why I love you so much, Lucy. You are the best sister ever." My aunty said and hugged my mom from back.
" You are too." My mom said."Now, let's ask Eugene again what he wants." My mom said.
" Sandwich? Noodles? " My aunty asked.
" I think this kid doesn't know English. Let's ask in Italian." My mom said.
" I would love to have Lasagna." Suddenly Eugene spoke only to make us surprised.
" You want Lasagna?" My mom asked caressing his cheek.
" Yes." He nodded.
" I will just make you." My mom said and aunty followed her. I sat beside Eugene.
" You should talk with us. If you don't then how will we know what you want?" I asked Eugene. He was silent again. I sighed and sipped my coffee.
" Who are you?" Suddenly he asked me.
" Me? I am Naomi, Naomi Edwards." I said.
" I am Eugene, Eugene Cassian." He said and I smiled. He is improving.
" Is this your house?" He asked.
" Yes, it is." I said.
" Who were two ladies?" He asked with broken English.
" The red hair lady like me is my mom and the other lady is my aunty, my uncle's wife." I said.
" You all live here?" He asked.
" Yes, my dad, my mom, my uncle, aunty, Luke and Liam." I said.
" Luke, Liam" he asked.
" They are my cousins. They are in school now. They came to meet you last night but you were sleeping." I said.
" Cousin?" He asked.
" Yes, my uncle's sons." I said.
" And the man who took us in a big house yesterday?" He asked about Theo.
" Ahem.." I was thinking how to answer him. " He is my fiance." I said.
" Fi..fiance? Fiance what?" He asked.
" It means we are going to get married soon." I said.
" Married?" He asked.
" Yes. Like my mom and dad." I said.
" Oh, your Uncle and Aunty aren't married?" He asked.
" Yes, yes, they are." I said and sighed. Kids and their questions!!!
" You will live in the palace then?" He asked.
" Yes, may be." I said. " Do you want to go with me?" I asked.
" I don't know." He said confusedly.
We talked for a while then my mom came and served both me and Eugene breakfast.
" Thanks Mom." I said to my mom.
" Thanks Mom." Eugene said to my mom too. I was shocked. But my mom smiled and kissed his cheek.
" You are welcome, Sweetheart." My mom said and my aunty feed him. He seemed enjoy the food.
" Mom, where are the others?" I asked.
" They were late last night. Might be sleeping." My mom said. I nodded.
" Tris, baby stop running." I heard Stella and the next moment giggling Tris appeared in front of us. He came downstairs and sat on the chair next to Eugene. He was shocked seeing another baby at home. He poked Eugene's cheek.
" Tris, umm mmm, bad habit. No poking." Stella said and Tris nodded.
" Who are you?" Tris asked Eugene. Eugene didn't answer.
" Why aren't you answering?" Tris whined.
" I don't talk with unknown people." Eugene said.
" My name is not unknown people. My name is Tris. Tristan Campbell. What is your name?" Tris asked. Eugene looked at him for once the stared at Tris a bit longer then thought something.
" My name is Eugene Cassian." Eugene said.
" Haaaaaaaaaahhhhhh, you are Finn Rider!!??" Tris said very very shocked.
" Finn Rider who?!" Eugene asked.
" Rupanzel's Prince. Haven't you seen Tangled?" Tris asked and Eugene shook his head.
" I will tell you what happens." Tris said. " There were a kingdom -" Tris was saying but Eugene stopped him.
" Kingdom what?" Eugene asked.
" Means a country." Tris said.
" Oh, ok." Eugene said.
" Yes, now listen." Tris started to tell him the story and aunty was feeding him. At last Eugene was speaking and eating. He was becoming normal. I know it will be hard for him to adjust in this new family but Tris has made our work almost done. For him Eugene is now a bit normal.
Someone said it right kids are blessings from heaven. They are like a gift. I smiled. Maybe a new family will make Eugene happy. It will take time but it's not impossible. We can make him happy. He is just a little kid. He needs love and care. So, I know my family is more than happy to love him like he deserves. I smiled.
