I don't own Home by Depeche Mode and Dare to Live by Payton Rae.
"Welcome families. I also want to welcome back our graduate glee family members." He said. Then all the old glee clubbers entered the room.
"So what is this week assignment?" Rachel asked Mr. Shuester.
"Parents or whoever is part of your family. I want to us to sing songs about love, family, or anything that you think is family." Mr. Shuester said looking at everyone. "So I know it is soon but does anyone have anything? Anyone can go even parents or anyone." He looked at everyone.
"Mr. Shuester I have same thing. If you don't mind me going?" Rachel asked him.
"Go right ahead Rachel." Mr. Shuester. She got up and told the band what song she was going to do. She took the front spot. Then the band started to play. She start to sing the song.
Here is a song from the wrong side of town
Where I'm bound to the ground by the loneliest sound
Oh that pounds from within and is pinning me down
Here is a page from the emptiest stage
A cage or the heaviest cross ever made
A gauge of the deadliest trap ever laid
And I thank you for bringing me here
For showing me home
For singing these tears
Finally I've found that I belong here
The heat and the sickliest sweet smelling sheets
That cling to the backs of my knees and my feet
Well I'm drowning in time to a desperate beat
And I thank you for bringing me here
For showing me home
For singing these tears
Finally I've found that I belong
Feels like home
I should have known from my first breath
God send the only true friend I call mine
Pretend that I'll make amends the next time
Befriend the glorious end of the line
And I thank you for bringing me here
For showing me home
For singing these tears
Finally I've found that I belong here
Everyone clapped for her. She was amazing.
"Rachel, that was amazing. Who was that song to?" Mr. Shuester asked her.
"All of you guys. You are my family." Rachel said.
"That's sweet. Anyone else?" Mr. Shuester asked. Rachel took a seat next to Puck.
Mr. Shuester looked around to see if anyone wants to go. But no one wanted to go. I looked around but I saw no one.
"Come on guys. I think we can get one more or two more." Mr. Shuester said.
"Mr. Shuester, we are not all like Rachel and have a song pop right in our heads. Then go up and sing it." I said making everyone snicker and smile.
"I know Kitty. But was hoping you guys went in your free time and looked up songs. I am really hoping we can have more than one person to go. So please anyone does anyone else have something. I would like to have two more people to go." Mr. Shuester asked.
"Mr. Shuester I will go." Sam said getting up and grabbing his guitar.
"Thank-you Sam." Mr. Shuester said taking a seat. Sam started to play his guitar. Then the band caught it and started to play the song with him.
There's a big old world outside of my door
Ain't gonna sit and watch it spin by no more
'Cause it ain't slowing down or waiting on me
I'm gonna grab what I can while it's within my reach
I'm gonna dare to live, I'm gonna live to learn
I'm gonna learn to dream and I'm gonna dream big
I'm gonna take a risk and risk it all
'Til my all is all I have to give, I'm gonna dare to live
You know the past can steal your joy away
We're not promised tomorrow, all we got is today
With each sunrise there's a brand new start
So take a deep breath and go and follow your heart
And dare to live, live to learn
Learn to dream and you gotta dream big
You gotta take a risk and risk it all
'Til your all is all you have to give, you gotta dare to live
So take the chance
Make the choice
Start writing your own story
I'm gonna dare to live, I'm gonna live to learn
I'm gonna learn to dream and I'm gonna dream big
And take the risk and risk it all
'Til my all is all I have to give
I'm gonna dare to live, yeah, oh yeah
I'm gonna dare to live, yeah
I'm gonna dare to live
Everyone clapped and Sam's siblings got out from where they were sitting giving Sam a hug.
"Sam that was awesome. What is the meaning behind that song? I can see it was for your siblings." Mr. Shuester asked.
"It was a song I sing to them to make their better or to cheer them up." Sam said putting down his guitar.
"Thank-you Sam. So can we have one more person up here please." Mr. Shuester looked at us wondering.
"I will go Mr.Shuester."
