Leah PoV
Today I have a day off and I know Ellie does as well. Today is the day we find out if we're having a girl or a boy. To say I'm excited is an understatement. We toyed on the idea of a baby reveal party but we decided on doing it a different way and I'm excited to do it.
"El you ready"
"One minute I said"
So she's moody this morning she has cried twice once over spilling her coco pops and once over running out of toilet paper even though the new roll was next to her. She has also been happy but I guess the hormones are a little everywhere.
I sit in the stairs with my key waiting.
"Good luck today"
"Thanks Lia, see you later"
I smile at the message she just lights up my day and it's a good feeling.
"Will you get up so I can pass"
I look up at Ellie.
"I know it's the hormones so I won't say anything and today is a good day so of course I will darling" I stand and stare at her I see the tears forming again.
"I'm so sorry le I don't mean it" she sobs hard.
I take her in my arms "it's okay I love you always"
"Always" she says
As she walks into the kitchen for her drink I made her for on the go I dn fletcher.
"El needs you, a little hormonal please call her cheer her up"
Now I didn't have fletchers number so the only way was through instagram.
As I head to the car I hear Ellie's phone ringing.
"Hey babe I miss you" I hear and all I can do is smile. Finally a happy Ellie.
As we drive to the hospital the phone call last for half the journey. As soon as the phone goes down Ellie looks at me.
"Thank you"
"Anytime" I take her hand and hold it.
I park up and we head in. We link arms and I feel like I could burst with joy.
"100% a boy" I say
"I don't care as long as they're healthy I know they will take after you anyway. Strong footballer kick on them"
I smile at what Ellie said and I can't wait to see the baby again.
Ellie's PoV
I woke up and my emotions were high. I was happy of course I get to see my baby but I don't know I keep crying and snapping at Leah.
Leah got fletcher to call me and I am so thankful for that. I miss her and even though we message all the time I just want her cuddles. Leah's have sufficed but there friendly.
As we walk in I get nervous. I love not seen the baby in a while and I'm scared I don't know why. But I have a funny feeling.
As we sit and wait our turn me and Leah chat. She tells me Lia is coming over tonight which I don't mind as tonight is movie night and the arsenal girls will be there as well. I tell her I'm okay with her staying the night if needed. She seems shocked but I don't mind.
"Mrs and Mrs Williamson"
We look up and our doctor is waiting. I stand and walk in laying down on the bed.
"Okay so today we see if we're having a girl or boy any preference"
"Boy" Leah shouts she's excited and it's so cute.
"I don't mind but I'm getting really big I mean bigger than I should be is that normal"
"You may just be carrying a lot more water than normal we will check it out though"
"Okay"
I take Leah's hand and we both watch the screen. We hear the heart beat and I can't help but a small tear escape when I see the baby.
"Okay let me see"
Me and Leah wait.
"Okay erm....one second"
I look at Leah scared.
"Le" I whisper
"It's okay"
"Okay so that wasn't picked up last time"
"What is it doc is everything okay?"
I look from Leah to the doctor
"erm yes everything is fine but it looks like we missed something last time"
"What is it"
"There are two heart beats. I'm pleased to tell you your having twins"
My heart feels like it will explode. You have to be kidding me two. Fucking two.
"What" Leah says.
"We're having two" I say
"Yes you are and they're growing one is a little smaller but they are healthy."
I look at Leah. She can see the nervousness in my face.
"I got you I'm not going anywhere...el we're having twins" a smile appears on her face. As soon as I see the joy I feel at ease. Okay so we're doing this.
"Okay so what we having"
The doctor looks at me.
"Okay one second so baby A is a girl"
I squeeze Leah's hand. A smile plastered on my face.
"Baby B is a" I feel Leah's shaking.
"Boy"
"Get in" Leah shouts I can't help but laugh.
"We're having two babies el, and one of each oh my god this is the best day ever"
I pull Leah in and hug her tight. The love felt through the hug is amazing. As we pull away we just stare at each other. A loving stare. Before we know it we share a small kiss a loving kiss. We pull away we know we shouldn't have done that but I don't care right now.
To say the ride home was quiet is another story.
"Leah it was an in the moment thing don't stress"
Leah pulls up to a red light.
"Yeah that's what I was thinking. We good"
"Always"
Later that night
It's around 7pm and the arsenal girls pile in. I'd spoke with Fletcher prior to them arriving over face time I told her the news and she was over joyed. She asked to speak with Leah which made me feel anxious but Leah was okay with it. They squished any animosity they had and they spoke like friends. They came to a mutual agreement like I had with Lia and it made me happy.
As the girls pile in I invited Adele round as well I know we hadn't seen eye to eye recently but I couldn't leave here out even Jess and Alex were here. Adele seemed awkward as always but it was what it was. As we sit and talk we eat food and drink a few drinks me soft drinks of course.
Leah looks at me from across the room and we decided we only wanted two god parents and this is how we would reveal the gender. We had already spoke with family so they knew. Shocked but they were happy.
"Hey girls so I just want to say thanks for coming round. As you all know me and Ellie are not together but we are expecting and we are friends so no beef there" I roll my eyes Leah is and never will be good at speeches.
"Okay I'm going to interrupt" I struggle to get up off the cuddle chair everyone laughs.
"Pregnant woman is funny right getting up well struggling. I get it" I laugh with them.
"So Leah is shit at speeches, so I'm going to take over." I hold Leah's hand.
"So we went for a scan today and we found out the sex and we wanted to share with you all. We have decided on two god parents and I think we should tell who they are first"
I see Adele sit up and I know it will crush her but it's not her.
"Okay so first one" Leah says.
"Beth will you be the god mother?"
"Too right I will" Beth says a tear trailing down her face.
"Jess will you be a god mother" I say
"The best one" she says a massive smile on her face Adele slumping back.
"Okay le so let's tell them. We're having a"
As we say what we're having I say girl Leah says boy and everyone starts to cheer then stops.
"Wait a minute do you even know yourselves" a thick Irish Katie accent is heard.
I laugh.
"Yes. We're having one of each. I'm carrying twins" I say Leah holds my belly and rests her head on my shoulder. everyone is happy except Adele and I need to speak with her.
When everyone settles I ask Adele to follow me into the kitchen.
"You okay"
"I am Adele but are you, you have been weird with me for so long that I now can't remember when it started and tonight you have a face like a slapped arse"
"Ellie don't"
"Don't what ask my best friend what's happening"
"Yes because you wouldn't care anyway"
"Try me"
"El stop"
"Don't call me el only Leah calls me el"
"This is it Leah this Leah that Leah can't do no fucking wrong even when she cheats on you she does no wrong playing happy fucking families it's fake as fuck"
I'm shocked. What did she say.
"She's no good for you Ellie never has never will"
"Whoa what. Where has this come from" I say
Adele walks towards me. Her hand on my face she leans in a kisses me that's when I hear the door open it's Leah.
I push her back.
"Is everything okay it got a little loud" Leah asks.
"No it's not. What the fuck was that" I shout.
"Ellie I've loved you since day one I've been in love with you since day one can you not see I'm the one you need"
My head is spiralling right now. I look at Leah she knows I don't want her to leave me alone with her.
"Adele your my best friend more of a sister"
"No Ellie I'm not it's should be me and you not you and her, now two evil spawns grow in you all her them babies should of been ours"
I see Leah out the corner of my eye getting angry.
I put my hands on Adele's shoulders.
"You have crossed the line. Don't ever speak to me about my babies like that again. How fucking dare you. Who the fuck do you think you are...get out"
I shout
"What"
"Get the fuck out of our house"
I scream.
I follow Adele as she walks out in front of me all the girls at this point stopped talking and staring. I follow her to the front door.
"Count yourself fired" I scream
"Don't worry I was going to quit after I sold the stories anyway. We're not best friends never were"
With this I feel like I've been shot in the heart. What it was Adele to spread the stories? My best friend?
I slam the door and slide down it. Sobbing heavy when Leah hold me tight.
"She won't live this down. I've got you el"
